☑️Why helicopters are still in demand
A teenager's dream of designing his own helicopter came true when Jason Hill unveiled his creation on December 7. The five-seater Hill helicopter, powered by a turbine engine, is made from lightweight carbon fiber. Even though it costs almost £600,000, which is a lot, 1,222 people have already ordered it, putting down deposits up to £100,000 each. This happened before the helicopter's first flight, scheduled for later this year.

Other companies, like Robinson in California, have also been successful in selling helicopters, especially the R66 Turbine, which costs just over $1 million. Helicopter ownership is often for the wealthy, but according to the British Helicopter Association, it makes sense for those who value time efficiency. Private helicopter owners can even lease their machines to flying schools when they're not using them.

New competition is emerging from Electric Vertical Take Off and Landing aircraft (Evtol), which are powered by batteries and offer promises of being cheaper, quieter, and easier to maintain than traditional helicopters. The hope is that Evtol aircraft will bring helicopter-like convenience to a broader audience in the future.

Questions
1. Who is Jason Hill, and what did he recently unveil?
2. What type of engine powers the Hill helicopter, and what material is used for its fuselage?
3. What is the projected date for the Hill helicopter's first flight?
