📖 မြည်း၊ အဖိုးနှင့် မြေး / The Old Man, the Boy, and the Donkey
တစ်ခါက အဖိုးအိုတစ်ဦး၊ သူ၏ မြေးလေးနှင့် မြည်းတစ်ကောင်တို့ဟာ မြို့ထဲသို့ စျေးဝယ်ထွက်ခဲ့ကြတယ်။
စတင်ထွက်ခွာချိန်မှာ အဖိုးရော မြေးပါ မြည်းဘေးမှာ လမ်းလျှောက်သွားကြတယ်။ အဲဒါကို မြင်တဲ့ လမ်းသွားလမ်းလာတွေက —
"ကြည့်စမ်း... မြည်းရှိရက်နဲ့ အသုံးမချဘဲ လမ်းလျှောက်နေကြတယ်၊ တကယ့် အရူးတွေပဲ!" လို့ ရယ်မောကြတယ်။
ဒါနဲ့ အဖိုးအိုက မြေးလေးကို မြည်းပေါ်တင်ပေးလိုက်ပြီး သူကတော့ ဘေးက လမ်းလျှောက်ခဲ့တယ်။ ခဏကြာတော့ နောက်လူတွေက —
"ဒီကလေးက ရိုင်းလှချည်လား၊ သက်ကြီးရွယ်အို အဖိုးကို လမ်းလျှောက်ခိုင်းပြီး သူကတော့ မြည်းပေါ်မှာ သက်သောင့်သက်သာ ထိုင်နေတယ်!" လို့ စွပ်စွဲကြပြန်တယ်။
ဒါနဲ့ အဖိုးအိုက မြေးကို ဆင်းခိုင်းပြီး သူကိုယ်တိုင် မြည်းပေါ်တက်ထိုင်ခဲ့တယ်။ နာရီဝက်မက အကြာမှာ အခြားလူတွေက —
"ကြည့်စမ်း... သနားစရာ ကလေးလေးကို လမ်းလျှောက်ခိုင်းပြီး သူ့ကိုယ်သူပဲ ငဲ့တဲ့ အတ္တကြီးတဲ့ အဖိုးကြီး!" လို့ ကဲ့ရဲ့ကြတယ်။
အဖိုးအိုလည်း ဘာလုပ်ရမှန်းမသိတာနဲ့ မြေးလေးကိုပါ မြည်းပေါ် ခေါ်တင်လိုက်တယ်။ မြည်းတစ်ကောင်ပေါ် နှစ်ယောက်စလုံး စီးသွားကြတဲ့အခါမှာတော့ လူတွေက ဒေါသတကြီးဖြင့် —
"ရက်စက်လိုက်တာ! ဒီလောက် သနားစရာကောင်းတဲ့ မြည်းလေးပေါ် နှစ်ယောက်စလုံး တက်စီးနေကြတယ်၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်ညှင်းပန်းသူတွေပဲ!" လို့ ဆဲဆိုကြပြန်တယ်။
နောက်ဆုံးမှာတော့ အဖိုးရော မြေးပါ မြည်းပေါ်ကဆင်းပြီး မြည်းကို သစ်သားတုတ်မှာ ချည်ကာ ပခုံးပေါ် ထမ်း ၍ သွားကြတော့တယ်။ အဲဒီမြင်ကွင်းကို မြင်တဲ့ မြို့သူမြို့သား အားလုံးကတော့ သူတို့ကို ရူးနေပြီဆိုပြီး တဝါးဝါး လှောင်ပြောင်ကြလေတော့သတည်း။
Once upon a time, an old man, his grandson, and their donkey were walking to the market.
At first, both the old man and the boy walked alongside the donkey. Passersby pointed and laughed, saying:
"Look at those fools! What is a donkey for if not to ride upon?"
Hearing this, the old man put the boy on the donkey and walked beside them. Soon, another group of people whispered angrily:
"Look at that disrespectful child! Making his poor old grandfather walk while he sits comfortably!"
So, the old man told the boy to get off and climbed onto the donkey himself. But before long, people began to criticize:
"What a selfish old man! Leaving that poor little child to walk in the dust while he rides!"
Not knowing what else to do, the old man pulled the boy up behind him, and they both rode the donkey together. However, the crowd shamed them even more:
"How cruel! Carrying two people is way too heavy for that poor donkey! You abusers!"
In total frustration, they both got off and decided to tie the donkey to a pole and carry it on their shoulders. Everyone who saw them laughed hysterically at the absurd sight.

လူတိုင်းကို စိတ်ကျေနပ်အောင် သင် ဘယ်တော့မှ လိုက်လုပ်ပေးလို့ မရနိုင်ပါ။ အခြားသူတွေရဲ့ ဝေဖန်သံတွေကိုပဲ လိုက်နားထောင်နေရင် သင့်ကိုယ်ပိုင် ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်နဲ့ တန်ဖိုးတွေ ပျောက်ဆုံးသွားပါလိမ့်မည်။
You can never please everyone. If you try to satisfy every opinion around you, you will end up pleasing no one and losing yourself in the process. Trust your judgment and stay true to your path. 🐴
