Promise ​ကျောင်း​တွေမှာ က​လေးငယ်​တွေအတွက် English Language Programs အမျိုးမျိုး ရှိပါတယ်။ အဲဒါ​တွေက​တော့ Reading Readiness Program (Kindergarten with Ace and Christi), Ready to Read Program (ABCs with Ace and Christi), Speaking English with Ace and Christi, ABCs for English Learners, English As Your Second Language, နဲ့ Videophonics Programs ​တွေပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

အဲဒီအထဲမှာ အသက် ၄ နှစ်၊ ၅ နှစ်အရွယ် က​လေး​တွေအတွက် ထူးခြားတဲ့ အစီအစဉ်​လေး​တွေက​တော့ "Reading Readiness" နဲ့ "Ready to Read" အစီအစဥ် တို့ပဲ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီ Post မှာ​​တော့ Reading Readiness Program အ​ကြောင်းကို အကျဉ်းချုပ် တင်ပြ​ပေးသွားပါမယ်။

Reading Readiness Program

လေ့လာဆန်းစစ်မှု​တွေအရ Phonics နည်းနဲ့ သင်ယူတဲ့ ကလေးများနှင့် လူကြီးများဟာ Phonics မသင်ယူခဲ့သူများထက် စာဖတ်ရာမှာ ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်ပြီး ပိုမိုမြန်ဆန်ကြောင်း တွေ့ရှိရပါတယ်။ ဒါ​ကြောင့် Promise ​ကျောင်း​တွေရဲ့ Reading Readiness program တစ်လျှောက်လုံးမှာ Phonics နည်းလမ်းကို ထည့်သွင်းအသုံးပြုထားပါတယ်။

"Reading Readiness Program" ဟာ ကလေးတစ်ဦး စာဖတ်ဖို့ အဆင်သင့်ဖြစ်စေရန် လိုအပ်တဲ့ အယူအဆများနှင့် ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုများကို စနစ်တကျ ပြည့်ပြည့်စုံစုံ ဖွဲ့စည်းထားတဲ့ program ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီ တစ်နှစ်စာ program ကို အသက် ၃၊ ၄၊ ၅ နှစ်အရွယ် ကလေးများနှင့် Reading Readiness Test စမ်းသပ်မှုမှာ ရမှတ် 80% မ​ကျော်တဲ့ (NOT ready to read) ကလေးများအတွက် အထူးဒီဇိုင်းပြုလုပ်ထားပါတယ်။

ကျောင်းသား​တွေဟာ အက္ခရာ​တွေကို မှတ်မိဖို့နဲ့ နံပါတ်​တွေကို သိရှိဖို့တို့ကို သင်ယူကြရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ သင်ထောက်ကူပစ္စည်း​တွေက​တော့ ​ပုံပြင်ကားချပ်​တွေ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်ပုံ​တွေ၊ coordination development activities ​တွေနဲ့ အရောင်စုံ picture stories ​တွေပါဝင်ပြီး စာဖတ်ခြင်းကို ချစ်မြတ်နိုးစေမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဤ program ၏ ရည်ရွယ်ချက်မှာ အက္ခရာအားလုံး၏ phonetic sounds (အသံထွက်များ) ကို လျင်မြန်စွာ သင်ယူစေပြီး ကျောင်းသား​တွေ စာဖတ်ဖို့ အဆင်သင့်ဖြစ်စေရန် ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ဒါ့အပြင် ကျောင်းသားများဟာ လူမှုဆက်ဆံရေးကျွမ်းကျင်မှုများ၊ ကမ္ဘာတဝှမ်းရှိအံ့ဖွယ်ရာများနှင့် ချစ်ခြင်းမေတ္တာ၏ အနှစ်သာရ​တွေကိုလည်း ဒီ program မှတဆင့် သင်ယူရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Reading Readiness program ရဲ့ အကျိုးကျေးဇူး​တွေက​တော့
၁။ ကလေး​တွေကို ​နောက်တစ်ဆင့်ဖြစ်တဲ့ Ready to Read program) အတွက် ပြင်ဆင်ပေးပါတယ်။
၂။ ကလေးများ စာဖတ်ရာတွင် အောင်မြင်ရန် လိုအပ်သော ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုများ ဖွံ့ဖြိုးလာစေရန်၊ အ​တွေးအမြင်တိုးတက်စေရန်နှင့် လိုအပ်သော ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာဖွံ့ဖြိုးမှုအဆင့်သို့ ရောက်ရှိစေရန် ကူညီပေးပါတယ်။
၃။ ကလေး၏ ပညာရေးတစ်လျှောက်လုံး တည်ဆောက်ရန် ခိုင်မာသော အခြေခံအုတ်မြစ်ကို ချမှတ်ပေးပါတယ်။
၄။ ဆရာ/ဆရာမ၏ စွမ်းအင်ကို ကလေးနှင့် ထိရောက်စွာ အပြန်အလှန် ဆက်ဆံနိုင်ရန် အသုံးချစေပါတယ်။

Reading Readiness Program ကို Kindergarten with Ace and Christi လို့လည်း ​ခေါ်ပါတယ်။ Ace ans Christi ဆိုတာ အဲဒီ Program ထဲမှာပါတဲ့ ဇာတ်​ကောင်​လေး​​တွေရဲ့ နာမည်ပါ။ မိမိက​လေး​တွေကို ငယ်ငယ်ကထဲက စာ​ဖတ်​ရာမှာ အ​ခြေခံ​ကောင်းဖို့ ပိုမိုမြန်ဆန်ဖို့အတွက် ​ကောင်းမွန်တဲ့ အုတ်မြစ်ချချင်တယ်ဆိုရင်​တော့ Promise ​ကျောင်း​တွေကို ဆက်သွယ်လိုက်ပါ​နော်။

​ဪ... စကားမစပ် Promise ​ကျောင်း​တွေက ပညာထူးချွန်သူ​​​တွေ ​မွေးထုတ်​နေ​ပေမယ့် Academic excellence တစ်ခုထဲကိုပဲ အဓိကထားတဲ့​ကျောင်း​တွေ မ​ဟုတ်ပါဘူး​နော်။ စာရိတ္တ​ကောင်းမွန်ပြီး လိမ္မာ​ရေးခြားရှိတဲ့၊ အရည်အချင်းပြည့်ဝတဲ့၊ ဘက်စုံ​တော်တဲ့ အနာဂတ်​ခေါင်း​ဆောင်​တွေ ​မွေးထုတ်​နေတဲ့ ​ကျောင်း​တွေဖြစ်တယ် ဆိုတာကို ပြည်တွင်းပြည်ပမှာ ​ရောက်ရှိ​​နေတဲ့ ​Promise ကျောင်းသူ​ကျောင်းသား​တွေကိုကြည့်ပြီး သိနိုင်ပါတယ်။
