How to Read and Answer a Paragraph
(For Young Learner English Beginners)

Step 1: Read the Title
• Look at the title first.
• The title tells you what the paragraph is about.

Step 2: Read Slowly and Carefully
• Read one sentence at a time.
• If you don’t understand a word, try to guess from the picture or the sentence.

Step 3: Find the Main Idea
• Ask yourself: What is the paragraph mostly about?
• The main idea is usually in the first or last sentence.

Step 4: Look for Keywords
• Pay attention to names, numbers, and important words.
• These help you answer the questions.

Step 5: Read the Questions First (Optional Tip)
• Sometimes reading the questions first helps you know what to look for in the paragraph.

Step 6: Answer Clearly
• Use short and simple sentences.

Example:
Question: Where does Tom live?
Paragraph says: Tom lives in Yangon.
Answer: He lives in Yangon.
