စကားပြောကျွမ်းကျင်ဖို့အတွက် လေ့လာသင်ယူလေ့ကျင်နေသူအဖို့ ကျွမ်းကျင်အဆင့်မရောက်ခင်မှာ မပြောခင် သဒ္ဒါနည်းကျမကျ တွေးတောစဥ်းစားနေခြင်းဟာ fluency ဆိုတဲ့ စကားပြောသွက်လာဖို့အတွက် အနှောက်အယှက်ကိုဖြစ်စေပါတယ်။ အဲ့ဒါကြောင့် စတင်လေ့ကျင့်သင်ကြားလေ့လာနေသူတွေအဖို့ စကားပြောလေ့ကျင်တဲ့အချိန်မှာ fluency ပိုင်းကို အာရုံစိုက်မှာလား accuracy ပိုင်းကို အာရုံစိုက်မှာလား။ Fluency ပိုင်းဆိုတာ စကားပြောသွက်ဖို့အရေးကို အာရုံစိုက်တာပါ။ Accuracy ပိုင်းဆိုတာကတော့ စကားပြောမှန်ဖို့ကို အာရုံစိုက်တာပါ။ အတန်းငယ်တွေမှာ English language educators တွေက fluency ပိုင်းကို အာရုံစိုက်ပေးကြပါတယ်။ ....အဲ့ဒါကြောင့်.....သင်မှားမှာ မကြောက်ပါနဲ့.....ရဲရဲသာ ပြောပါ.....အမှားလုပ်ရမှာ ကျောင်းသားအလုပ်......အမှားကိုပြင်ပေးရမှာ ဆရာ့အလုပ်ပါ.....

'Think before you speak မပြောခင် စဥ်းစားပါ' ဆိုတဲ့ အကြံပြုချက်ဟာ ခုမှ Speaking လေ့လာလေ့ကျင့်နေတဲ့ beginners တွေ elementary learners တွေ pre-intermediate learners တွေ အတွက် လက်တွေ့ကျတဲ့ အကြံပြုချက် ဖြစ်နိုင်ပါ့မလား။ တွေးချိန်ချင့်စရာပါပဲ.....။

Speak vs. Talk

Speak ကိုတော့ ပြောနေတဲ့ speaker ကို အဓိကပြောချင်တဲ့အခါမှာသုံးရပါတယ်။ သုံးကြပါတယ်။ He spoke about the importance of taking exercises and having a good diet. (သူက လေ့ကျင့်ခန်းလုပ်ခြင်းနှင့် ကျန်းမာစွာ စားသောက်ခြင်းတို့ရဲ့ အရေးပါပုံကို ပြောပြခဲ့တယ်။) ဒီမှာကတော့ ဘယ်သူက သူဘာပြောလည်းဆိုတာကိုပဲ အဓိက ပြောချင်တာပါ။

Talk ကိုပြောတော့ ပြောသူကော နားထောင်သူကောရှိတဲ့အခါမှာပိုသုံးပါတယ်။ သဘောကတော့ အပြန်အလှန်စကားပြောကြတယ်ဆိုတဲ့ သဘောကို သက်ရောက်ပါတယ်။
I hope I can meet you to talk about my plans for the company. (ငါ့တို့ ကုမ္ပဏီ အလုပ်တွေနဲ့ပက်သက်ပြီး တွေ့ဆုံပြောဆိုကြရဖို့ မျှော်လင့်ပါတယ်) အဲ့မှာ အပြောခံရမယ့် Object လည်းပါတယ်။ ပြောမယ့်အကြောင်းအရာလည်းပါတယ်။

Say vs. Tell

Say နှင့် Tell နှစ်ခုစလုံးကို သတင်းအချက်အလက်ကို ဖော်ပြပြောဆိုလိုတဲ့အခါမှာ သုံးပါတယ်။ နှစ်ခုစလုံးမှာ တူညီတဲ့ သဘောအဓိပ္ပါယ်ရှိပါတယ်။ အဓိက ကွဲပြားချက်ကတော့ say ကိုသုံးရင် ဘယ်သူက ပြောတယ် ဘယ်သူ့ကိုပြောတယ်ဆိုပြောပြဖို့ မလိုပါဖူး။ သို့သော် Tell ကိုသုံးရင်တော့ ပြောပြဖို လိုပါတယ်။

'Hello,’ she said.

Not: ‘Hello,’ she told. (အဲ့လိုမသုံးရပါဖူး)

She told him they were going on holiday. သူတို့အားလပ်ရက်ခရီးထွက်ကြတယ်ဆိုတာကို သူမက သူ့ကိုပြောတယ်။

(The focus is on the information.) အဓိက သူတို့ အားလပ်ရက် ခရီးသွားမယ့်အကြောင်းကိုပဲ ပြောချင်တာပါ။

He said, ‘I’m not paying £50 for that.’' အဲ့ဒါအတွက်တော့ ၅ ပေါင်ပေးမနေတော့ပါဖူး လို့ သူက ပြောတယ်။
