‎💻 The Coding Class will likewise introduce children to the fundamentals of coding while fostering logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills in an engaging and enjoyable learning environment.

၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ်တွင် ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ခဲ့သည့် International Olympiad of Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) ပြိုင်ပွဲကြီးသို့ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံမှ ပထမဆုံးအကြိမ် ကိုယ်စားပြုအသင်းအဖြစ် ပါဝင်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်နိုင်ခဲ့ခြင်းအတွက် အထူးဂုဏ်ယူဝမ်းမြောက်မိပါသည်။

နည်းပညာတွေ မြန်မြန်ဆန်ဆန် တိုးတက်နေသည့် ဒီနေ့ခေတ်တွင် မဖြစ်မနေ သိထားရမယ့် ခေတ်သစ် အရည်အချင်း (Essential 21st Century Skill) တစ်ခုရှိလာနေပါပြီ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

အဲဒါကတော့ အတိုကောက် "CT" လို့ ခေါ်နိုင်သည့် "Computational Thinking" ဆိုတာပဲ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

CT ဆိုတာဘာလဲ။ လေ့လာကြည့်ကြရမည်ဖြစ်သည်။

CT ဆိုသည်မှာ ကွန်ပျူတာ ပရိုဂရမ်မင်း ရေးနည်း မဟုတ်ပါ။

ကွန်ပျူတာလိုမျိုး ရှုပ်ထွေးတဲ့ ပြဿနာများကို ခေါင်းအေးအေးနှင့် စနစ်တကျ ခွဲခြမ်းစိတ်ဖြာပြီး အဖြေထုတ်သည့် "စဉ်းစားတွေးခေါ်မှု စွမ်းရည်" ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

အလွယ်ဆုံးပြောရလျှင် "Computational Thinking" ဆိုသည်မှာ "ရှုပ်ထွေးတဲ့ ပြဿနာ သို့မဟုတ် မေးခွန်းတစ်ခုကို တွေ့လိုက်တာနဲ့ စိတ်ရှုပ်မသွားဘဲ စနစ်တကျ ခွဲခြမ်းစိတ်ဖြာပြီး အဖြေထုတ်တတ်တဲ့ စဉ်းစားနည်းလမ်းညွှန်" ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

မိဘအများစုက "ကွန်ပျူတာ" ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလုံးပါနေသဖြင့် "Laptop ရှေ့ထိုင်ပြီး ကွန်ပျူတာ ပရိုဂရမ်မင်း (Coding) ရေးရတာ" လို့ ထင်လေ့ရှိကြပါသည်။

တကယ်တော့ မဟုတ်ပါ၊။

"Computational Thinking ကို လေ့ကျင့်ပေးခြင်းဖြင့် ကွန်ပျူတာ သုံးစရာမလိုဘဲ ကလေးတစ်ယောက်ရဲ့ ဦးနှောက်စွမ်းရည် (Brainpower) နဲ့ Logical Thinking ကို ထက်မြက်လာစေခြင်း ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

ဒါဟာ ကွန်ပျူတာ လုံးဝသုံးစရာမလိုဘဲ ကလေးတစ်ယောက်ရဲ့ ဦးနှောက်စွမ်းရည် (Brainpower) နဲ့ Logical Thinking (ကျိုးကြောင်းဆင်ခြင်နိုင်စွမ်း) ကို မြှင့်တင်ပေးတဲ့ စဉ်းစားနည်း သဘောတရား ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

"Computational Thinking" အလေ့အကျင့် ကောင်းလာသည်နှင့်အမျှ ဘဝရဲ့ ဘာသာရပ်တိုင်းနဲ့ပြဿနာတိုင်းကို စနစ်တကျဖြေရှင်းနိုင်မည့် Critical Thinking (ဝေဖန်ပိုင်းခြား စဉ်းစားနိုင်စွမ်း) နဲ့ Problem Solving (ပြဿနာဖြေရှင်းနိုင်စွမ်း) တွေ အလိုလိုတိုးတက်လာမှာဖြစ်ပါသည်။

CT က စာတွေကို အလွတ်ကျက်ခိုင်းတဲ့စနစ်မဟုတ်ဘဲ တွေးခေါ်စဉ်းစားတတ်‌အောင် လေ့ကျင့်ပေးခြင်းပဲဖြစ်ပါသည်။

ဉာဏ်စမ်း ပဟေဠိ (Puzzle) တွေ၊ ရုပ်ပုံ မေးခွန်းတွေနဲ့ ကစားနည်း ပုံစံ မေးခွန်းတွေ ဖြစ်ကြပြီး ကလေးရဲ့ Logic (ကျိုးကြောင်းဆင်ခြင်နိုင်စွမ်း) နှင့် Problem-Solving ကိုပဲ စမ်းသပ်တာ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

ဒါကြောင့် ကလေးတစ်ယောက်အတွက် CT က အရေးကြီးလားဆိုရင် အရေးကြီးသည်ဟု ပြောရမည်ပဲဖြစ်ပါသည်။

In today’s era of rapid technological advancement, there is an essential twenty-first-century skill that everyone should become familiar with. This skill is known as Computational Thinking (CT).

What, then, is Computational Thinking? Let us explore this concept.

Computational Thinking is not the same as computer programming or coding. Rather, it is a systematic cognitive approach that enables individuals to analyze complex problems calmly, logically, and methodically in order to derive effective solutions.

In its simplest form, Computational Thinking can be defined as a structured framework for thinking that allows individuals to approach complex problems or challenging questions without becoming overwhelmed. Instead, it encourages them to deconstruct problems, analyze them systematically, and develop logical solutions.

Because the term contains the word computer, many parents mistakenly assume that Computational Thinking simply refers to sitting in front of a laptop and learning to write computer programs. However, this is a common misconception.

In reality, developing Computational Thinking does not require the use of a computer. Rather, it is a means of strengthening a child’s cognitive abilities, enhancing brainpower, and cultivating logical reasoning skills through structured patterns of thinking.

In other words, Computational Thinking is a conceptual approach that improves a child’s intellectual capacity and logical reasoning without any dependence on computer use.

As children progressively develop Computational Thinking skills, they naturally become better equipped with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. These competencies enable them to approach academic subjects and real-life challenges systematically, evaluate situations critically, and identify effective solutions across diverse contexts.

Unlike traditional learning approaches that emphasize rote memorization, Computational Thinking focuses on developing the ability to think independently and analytically. Learning activities often involve puzzles, visual reasoning tasks, and game-based challenges that assess and strengthen logical reasoning and problem-solving skills rather than memorized knowledge.

For these reasons, Computational Thinking should be regarded as an essential competency for every child.

In summary, Computational Thinking is not intended to train children to become computer programmers. Instead, it aims to nurture them into confident, adaptable, and intelligent thinkers who can confront future challenges without fear, analyze problems systematically, and develop effective solutions. Ultimately, Computational Thinking equips children with the mindset and reasoning skills needed to become capable “smart thinkers” who are well prepared for the demands of the future.
