IGCSE ESL writing ​မေးခွန်း​တွေမှာ​မေး​နေကြဖြစ်တဲ့ Article Writing နဲ့ပတ်သက်တဲ့ tips and tricks ​လေး​တွေနဲ့သူ့ရဲ့ structure ကိုမျှ​ဝေ​ပေးသွားမှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်🤗

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to write an article for the IGCSE ESL exam:

1. Understand the Prompt: Read the prompt carefully and identify the topic or issue you need to write about. Pay attention to any specific instructions or requirements mentioned.

ပထမဆုံးအ​နေနဲ့ ကိုယ်​ရေးမယ့်အ​ကြောင်းအရာကို​သေချာသိဖို့အတွက်​​မေးခွန်းမှာ​ပေးထားမယ့် prompt ​တွေကို​သေချာဖတ်ဖို့လိုပါမယ်။

2. Plan Your Article: Create a rough outline or plan for your article within 5 minutes. Decide on the main points or arguments you want to make and the order in which you will present them. This will help you maintain a clear structure throughout your writing.

ကိုယ့်ရဲ့article အတွက်လိုအပ်မယ့်အချက်အလက်​တွေကို ၅ မိနစ်အတွင်းအကြမ်းဖျင်းချ​ရေးဖို့လိုပါမယ်။ ဒီလိုလုပ်​ပေးခြင်းကwriting ​ရေးတဲ့​နေရာမှာအစီစဥ်တကျဖြစ်ဖို့အ​ထောက်အကူ​ပေးနိုင်သလို main points ​တွေ ideas ​တွေများများစဥ်းစားနိုင်ဖို့အချိန်လည်း အလုံအ​လောက်ရပါမယ်။

3. Introduction: Begin your article with an engaging introduction that grabs the reader's attention and introduces the topic. Provide some background information or context to set the stage for your discussion. State your thesis or main point that you will elaborate on in the body of the article.

Article စ​ရေးရမယ်ဆိုရင် စာပိုဒ်အားဖြင့် ၄ပိုဒ်အနည်းဆုံးရှိရပါမယ်📍
Introduction, body 2 ပိုဒ်, conclusion တို့ပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
>>Introduction စာပိုဒ်မှာကိုယ်​ရေးမယ့်အ​ကြောင်းအရာ topics နဲ့ပတ်သက်တဲ့ main points ​တွေကိုအစီစဥ်တကျ​ရေး​ပေးရပါမယ်

4. Body Paragraphs: Develop your main ideas in separate paragraphs. Each paragraph should focus on one specific point but u should provide supporting evidence, examples, or arguments.

❗️Use appropriate linking words and phrases to ensure a smooth flow between paragraphs.❗️

Body ပထမအပိုဒ်မှာ​တော့ ကိုယ်​ဆွေး​နွေးမယ့်အ​ကြောင်းအရာနဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီးအ​သေးစိတ်ချ​ရေးဖို့လိုပါမယ် main points ​တွေပိုပြီးမြင်သာ​စေဖို့အတွက် examples များများသုံး​ပေးတာကလည်းကိုယ့် article ရဲ့ language level မြင့်​စေပါတယ်။

5. Counterarguments (optional): If the prompt allows or requires it, include a paragraph that acknowledges opposing viewpoints or counterarguments. This demonstrates your ability to consider different perspectives and strengthens your argument.

Counterarguments ဆိုတာက​တော့ Body ဒုတိယအပိုဒ်ကိုဆိုလိုတာဖြစ်ပါတယ် Body ပထမအပိုဒ်မှာ​ဆွေး​နွေးခဲ့တဲ့ idea ကိုဆန့်ကျင်ဘက်အမြင်က​နေပြန်ပြီး​​ရေးရမှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

6. Conclusion: Summarize your main points and restate your thesis in the conclusion. Leave the reader with a final thought or call to action related to the topic.
❗️Avoid introducing new information or ideas in the conclusion.❗️

Conclusion စာပိုဒ်မှာ​တော့ အ​​ပေါ်မှာကိုယ်​ဆွေး​နွေးခဲ့တဲ့ idea ​တွေကိုအကျဥ်းချုပ်ပြန်​ရေးရပါမယ် Article ​နောက်ဆုံးပိုဒ်ဟာ နည်းနည်းအရေးကြီးတဲ့အပိုင်းဖြစ်ပါတယ် ​ကျောင်းသား​တွေအ​နေနဲ့ body စာပိုဒ် ၂ပိုဒ်မှာ မတူညီတဲ့idea ၂ခုကို​ဆွေး​နွေးပြသွားတာဖြစ်တဲ့အတွက် conclusion အပိုဒ်ဟာ စာဖတ်သူ​တွေကို topic နဲ့ပတ်သက်တဲ့အ​တွေးတစ်ခုခုကျန်​နေ​အောင်​ရေးနိုင်ရပါမယ်

🔷Language and Style: Use a formal tone and appropriate vocabulary for an academic article. Make sure your writing is clear, concise, and coherent. Vary your sentence structures and use cohesive devices such as transition words and phrases to connect your ideas.

ဒီအပိုင်းမှာ​တော့​ ​ကျောင်းသား​တွေအ​နေနဲ့ကိုယ်​ရေးမယ့် Article ရဲ့ပုံစံကို​သေချာနားလည်ထားဖို့လိုပါမယ် အဲ့ဒါမှသာ သုံးရမယ့် tenses ​တွေ vocabulary ​တွေကို​သေချာဆုံးဖြတ်နိုင်မှာပါ

🔷Word Count: Stay within the prescribed word limit (usually 150-200 words). Trim or expand your writing as needed to fit within the specified range.

Tr, should I choose 0510 or 0511 for ESL ? 💁

IGCSE ကို ဒီ October/ November မှာဖြေမယ့်ကျောင်းသားတွေဆီကနေအခုတလောကြားနေကြမေးခွန်းကတော့ tr.. ESL ကို ကျွန်တော်/
ကျွန်မတို့ 0510 ဖြေရင်ကောင်းမလား 0511 ဖြေရင်ကောင်းမလား.. သူတို့နှစ်ခုကဘယ်လိုကွာလဲ...အမှတ်ပေးတာကွာတာလား...ဘယ်တစ်ခုကပိုလွယ်သလဲ..စသဖြင့်မေးကြတာတွေ့ရတယ်။ ကိုယ်ကဘာဖြေရမလဲမသိသေးဘူး ဒါမှမဟုတ် မဆုံးဖြတ်ရသေးဘူးဆိုရင် အခုပြောမယ့်အချက်တွေကိုဖတ်ကြည့်ပြီး ကိုယ်နဲ့ကိုက်ညီမယ့်တစ်ခုကိုရွေးကြည့်ပါ။

ပထမဆုံးအနေနဲ့ Cambridge IGCSE ESL (both 0510 and 0511) မှာ Core နဲ့ Extended ဆိုပြီးနှစ်မျိုးရှိတယ်။ ဒီနှစ်ခုရဲ့အဓိကကွာခြားချက်ကတော့ အမှတ်ပေးတဲ့ grading ပါ။ Extended ဖြေတဲ့ကလေးတွေက grade A* to E အတွင်းရနိုင်ပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမယ့် Core ဖြေတဲ့ကလေးတွေအတွက် အမြှင့်ဆုံး Grade က C ဖြစ်ပြီး C ကနေ G အတွင်းပေးပါတယ်။

🔷Core ဖြေမယ့်သူတွေက paper 1 (reading and writing) ကို ၁နာရီခွဲ၊ paper 3 (Listening) ကို မိနစ် ၄၀ ခန့် နဲ့ Component 5 (speaking) ကို ၁၅ မိနစ်ခန့် ဖြေရပါမယ်။
🔷Extended ဖြေမယ့်သူတွေက paper 2 (reading and writing) ကို ၂ နာရီ၊ Paper 4 (Listening) ကို မိနစ် ၅၀ခန့် နဲ့ Component 5 (speaking) ကို ၁၅ မိနစ်ခန့်ဖြေရပါတယ်။ Extended ကတော့ဖြေဆိုချိန်နည်းနည်းပိုကြာတာရယ် နည်းနည်းပိုခက်ပါတယ်၊ ဒါပေမယ့် grade ကောင်းချင်ရင်တော့ extended ပဲဖြေစေချင်ပါတယ်။

🔷နောက်တစ်ခုကတော့ 0510 နဲ့ 0511 ဘာရွေးရမလဲဆိုပြီးမေးကြတာပါ။ 0510 ပဲဖြေဖြေ 0511 ပဲဖြေဖြေ မေးခွန်းကတော့တူတူပါပဲ ၊ ဘာကွာလည်းဆိုတော့ grading လုပ်တဲ့ပုံနဲ့ result ထုတ်တဲ့အခါကွာသွားတာပါ။ ကိုယ်က speaking ကောင်းကောင်းပြောနိုင်တယ် speaking နဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီးကိုယ့်ကိုယ်ကို ယုံကြည်မှုရှိတယ်ဆိုရင် 0511 ကိုရွေးလို့ရတယ်။ 0511 က speaking ကိုတစ်ခါထဲအမှတ် ပေါင်းယူတာပါ 0510 ကကျတော့ speaking ကို သပ်သပ် rating ပေးပါတယ် speaking result က overall score ကိုသက်ရောက်မှုမရှိပါဘူး။ ဒီက ကလေးတွေတော်တော်များများကတော့ speaking နဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီး confidence သိပ်မရှိဘူးလို့သူတို့ဘာသာယူဆကြလို့ 0510 ပိုဖြေတာတွေ့ရတယ်။

🔷ဒါပေမယ့် ကိုယ်က general knowledge လည်းရှိတယ်၊ vocabulary လည်းကြွယ်တယ် speaking ပြောတဲ့အခါ confidence ရှိတယ် ဆိုရင် 0511 ကို try ကြည့်ပါ။ အထူးသဖြင့် Reading, Listening or Writing မှာ overthinking ဖြစ်တတ်တာ၊ ရှန်းတတ်တာတို့ဆိုရင် 0511 ကအဆင်ပြေမှာပါ။ Tr တို့ကတော့ဘာဖြေဆိုပြီးပြောလို့မရပါဘူး suggesstion ပဲပေးလို့ရမှာပါ။ အဲ့တာကြောင့်အခုကတည်းက speaking လေ့ကျင့်တာမှီသေးပါတယ် 0511 ဖြေချင်တယ်ဆိုရင်တော့၊ ဘာပဲဖြေဖြေ ကိုယ့်ရဲ့ Strength နဲ့ weakness ကိုသိအောင်အရင်လုပ်ပြီးမှရွေးချယ်ကြပါနော်။

အပေါ်ကပြောခဲ့သလိုပဲ အများစုက “go“ ဆိုတဲ့ verb တွေ့တာနဲ့ နောက်ကနေ “to“ ဆိုတဲ့ preposition အမြဲကပ်သုံးလေ့ရှိကြတယ်။ ပြီးတော့ go to ကိုအသုံးများလာတော့ ဦးနှောက်ကဒါကိုပဲ တသမတ်တည်းစွဲလာတော့တယ်။ go to ကလွဲပြီး ကျန်တဲ့အသုံးအနှုန်းတွေကိုသတိမမူမိတာမျိုးပေါ့။ ဆိုတော့ကာ အဲ့လိုမျိုးတွေမဖြစ်ရလေအောင်၊ အသုံးအနှုန်းဆန်းဆန်းလေးတွေလည်းသိရအောင် “go" နဲ့စပြီး "to" ကပ်မလိုက်တဲ့ usages တွေ idioms တွေကိုပြောပြပေးသွားပါမယ်!! ဒီနေ့မှာတော့ Kel တို့ကဘာသာစကားလေ့လာတဲ့နေရာမှာပိုပြီး effective ဖြစ်အောင်သတိထားပြီးလိုက်နာသင့်တဲ့အချက်လေးတွေကိုပြောပြသွားပါမယ်။

ပထမဆုံးအနေနဲ့ ဘာသာစကားတစ်ခု (ဉပမာ- Englishစာ) ကိုငယ်ငယ်လေးထဲကသင်ခဲ့ကြပေမယ့်လို့ တကယ့်လက်တွေ့သုံးတဲ့နေရာမှာအခက်အခဲရှိကြတယ်၊ ပြောဆိုပါးစပ်ကပြောမထွက်ဘူး၊ Essays တွေပါတွေရေးမယ်ဆိုရင်လည်းခေါင်းထဲမှာတော့အိုင်ဒီယာတွေအများကြီးရှိပေမယ့်လို့ တကယ်ရေးတဲ့အခါကျရင်အဲ့လောက်ကြီးမရေးနိုင်ကြဘူး။ ဒီလိုဖြစ်ရခြင်းရဲ့အကြောင်းအရင်းထဲကတစ်ခုကိုပြောရမယ်ဆိုရင် ကိုယ်တွေရဲ့ငယ်ငယ်ထဲကကျင့်သုံးခဲ့တဲ့ပညာရေးကြောင့်လည်းပါပါတယ်။ ကျောင်းတွေမှာက Input based learning ဖြစ်တဲ့ Vocab တွေ Grammar pattern တွေဖိသင်တယ် ဒါပေမယ့်တကယ့်လက်တွေ့မှာဘယ်လိုသုံးရမလဲဆိုတာကိုတော့သိပ်ပြီးလေ့ကျင့်ပေးတာမရှိခဲ့ဘူးပေါ့နော်။

ဆိုတော့အခုလိုမျိုးကိုယ်ကစကားလုံးတွေကိုနားလည်တယ် ဒါပေမယ့် speaking and writing မှာပြန်မသုံးတတ်ဘူး/ သုံးဖို့အခက်အခဲဖြစ်နေရင် အဲ့ဒီစကားလုံးတွေကို Passive Vocabularly လို့ခေါ်ပြီး ကိုယ်ကအဲ့စကားလုံးတွေနဲ့ရင်းနှီးတယ်၊ speaking နဲ့​ writing မှာလည်းပြန်သုံးနိုင်တယ်ဆိုရင် အဲ့စကားလုံးတွေကို Active Vocabulary လို့ခေါ်ကြပါတယ်။ Passive Vocabularly ကို ဉပမာထပ်ပေးရမယ်ဆိုရင် ကိုယ်ကလူတစ်ယောက်ကိုလှတယ်လို့ပြောချင်တယ် အရင်ကတော့ beautiful အပြင် gorgeous, attractive, good looking, charming စသဖြင့်အမျိုးမျိုးသုံးပြီးပြောလို့ရတယ်ဆိုတာလည်းသိထားတယ်။ ဒါပေမယ့်တကယ့်လက်တွေ့ပြောတဲ့အချိန်ကျ beautiful တစ်ခုထဲပဲ ထပ်ခါတလဲလဲသုံးနေမိတာမျိူး။

ဒီလိုဖြစ်လေ့ရှိတာဟာကိုယ်တစ်ယောက်ထဲပဲလားဆိုတော့လည်းမဟုတ်ပါဘူး🤓 The numbers of word a person can understand is always greater than the numbers of word he/she can use.
ဆိုတော့အခု Kel ကသိပြီးသားစကားလုံးတွေကိုကောင်းကောင်းအသုံးချတတ်ဖို့ရယ် ကိုယ့်ရဲ့fluency ကိုမြှင့်တင်ဖို့နည်းလမ်းလေးတွေကိုပြောပြပေးသွားပါမယ်။

📌 1. Use flashcards

ပထမဆုံးနဲ့အလွယ်ဆုံးနည်းလမ်းကတော့ Vocabulary အသစ်တွေမှတ်တဲ့အခါ flashcards လေးတွေသုံးပြီးအဲ့စကားလုံးကဘာကိုဆိုလိုတယ်ဆိုတာကို ကိုယ့်ဟာကို English လို Pharaphase ပြန်လုပ်ပြီးရှင်းပြတဲ့နည်းပါ။ Speaking အတွက်လည်းကျင့်ပြီးသားဖြစ်သလို အဲ့စကားလုံးအသစ်ကိုလည်းပိုမှတ်မိလွယ်တာပေါ့။ Writing အတွက်ပါတစ်ခါတည်းလေ့ကျင့်ချင်တယ်ဆိုရင်လည်း အဲ့ Vocab အသစ်ကိုသုံးပြီးစာကြောင်းတည်ဆောက်လိုက်ပါ။

📌 2. Explain the content to your friend or to your own self

Language learning လုပ်တဲ့နေရာမှာ Input ကလည်းအရေးကြီးတဲ့အတွက်ကြောင့်မလို့ Reading နဲ့ Listening အတွက်ကို Kel တို့ News, books, articles တွေ ဖတ်ကြတယ်၊ Podcasts တွေ English Video တွေကြည့်ကြ၊ နားထောင်ကြတယ်ပေါ့နော်။ ဒီလိုအကြာင်းအရာတစ်ခုခုကို ဖတ်ပြီးရင် ဒါမှမဟုတ် နားထောင်ပြီးတဲ့အခါမျိုးမှာ ဒီတိုင်းမထားပဲ Output ရအောင် ကိုယ်ခုနကဖတ်လိုက်တဲ့အ​ကြောင်းအရာတွေကို Summary သဘောမျိုးအနေနဲ့ အဲ့ထဲမှာပါတဲ့စကားလုံးတွေပြန်သုံးပြီး သူငယ်ချင်းတစ်ယောက်ကိုပြန်ပြီးရှင်းပြတဲ့ပုံစံနဲ့ပြောကျင့်ကြည့်လို့ရပါတယ်။

📌 3. Record yourself speaking in English

ဒါကတော့ ကိုယ့် progress ကိုပြန်ပြီး reflect လုပ်ချင်တယ်ဆိုရင် before and after video ရိုက်ထားကြည့်လို့ရပါတယ်။ နေ့တိုင်းမရိုက်ချင်ဘူးဆိုရင်လည်း တစ်ပတ်တစ်ခါ/ နှစ်ပတ်တစ်ခါ ရိုက်လို့ရပါတယ်။ Writing အတွက်ကျတော့ ကိုယ့်အကြောင်းကို Daily Diary/ Story တွေရေးကြည့်ပါ။

📌 4. Watch subtitled movies/videos in English

Subtitled movies တွေဟာလည်း Day to Day Expression အတွက် အကောင်းဆုံး Resources တွေထဲကတစ်ခုပါပဲ။ ဒါအပြင်ကိုယ် စိတ်၀င်စားတဲ့ Genre ဒါမဟုတ် Focus လုပ်ချင်တဲ့ Areas (e.g History, Science, Medical, Formal, Informal)ရှိရင်လည်း ကိုယ်ကြိုက်သလိုရွေးကြည့်လို့ရပါတယ်။ အကြောင်းအရာကိုကိုယ်ကစိတ်၀င်စားတဲ့အတွက်ပိုပြီးလည်း effective ဖြစ်မှာသေချာပါတယ်။

📌 5. Shadowing

ဒီနည်းကတော့ခုနကပြောခဲ့တဲ့ movie, youtube video တွေကြည့်ရင်းနဲ့ try လို့ရပါတယ်။ Shadowing ဆိုတဲ့အတိုင်း Speaker ပြောတဲ့စာကြောင်းတွေ၊ စကားလုံးတွေကိုတစ်ချိန်ထဲမှာ သူတို့တစ်ကြောင်းပြောပြီးတာနဲ့လိုက်ပြောရတာဖြစ်တဲ့အတွက် ရုပ်ရှင်ဆိုရင်တော့ feeling နည်းနည်းပျက်နိုင်တယ်၊ ဆိုတော့ youtube videos, blogs တွေကြည့်ဖို့ recommend လုပ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီလိုလုပ်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် တစ်ခါထဲ pronuncitation တွေ၊ အသံနေအသံထားတွေအတွက်ပါလေ့ကျင့်ပြီးသားဖြစ်မှာပါ^^ (Killing two birds with one stone)👀

📌 6. Have Fun

The most important part of learning a language is to have fun! ဟုတ်ပါတယ် Language တစ်ခုကိုလေ့လာတဲ့နေရာမှာ ကိုယ်ကိုယ်တိုင်က အဲ့တာကြီးကို Responsibility တစ်ခုလိုသဘောမထားပဲ ပေါ့ပေါ့ပါးပါးလေးနဲ့ပုံမှန်လေ့ကျင့်ပေးဖို့လိုပါတယ်။
