Today, MPA International School held our Term 1 Parent–Teacher Meeting for Preschool Programme, Year 6 to Year 11, bringing parents and educators together to reflect on each child’s learning journey.

Our teachers shared students’ progress, strengths, achievements, and areas for further growth, while parents exchanged their observations and discussed how we can work together to support each child in the coming term.

At MPA, we believe that meaningful communication and a strong school–family partnership help children become more confident, responsible, and independent learners.

Celebrating Literacy Week at MPA
This week, MPA International School came alive with the joy of reading, sharing, creativity, and connection as we celebrated Literacy Week across our school community.
Students enjoyed a variety of engaging activities, including the Book Review Challenge, Mystery Readers, Reading Buddy Programme, Bookmark Art Creation, Guess the Teachers, Book Swap, and Book Fair.
From parents reading stories to our little learners, to Secondary students becoming reading buddies for younger students, each activity helped strengthen our culture of reading and learning together.
A special highlight was our Author Talk with အရိုး (Ah Yoe), where our Secondary students and staff had the opportunity to listen, interact, ask questions, and gain inspiration from a writer’s experiences and perspectives.
A heartfelt thank you to Author အရိုး (Ah Yoe), our students, parents, educators, staff, and participating bookshops for making Literacy Week so meaningful.

Reflect, Share, Learn, Grow Together
Last week, MPA International School concluded Term 1 with our Whole School Reflection, bringing all staff together for a meaningful day of professional learning, reflection, and preparation for the term ahead.

The day began with TOT sessions led by our CEO, Principal, and Vice Principal, reconnecting us with our shared values, responsibilities, and commitment to continuous improvement. Our staff then reflected within their respective academic and operational teams, openly sharing their Term 1 achievements, challenges, experiences, and areas for improvement.
More importantly, we listened to one another, exchanged ideas, and discussed how different teams could better support each other.

These reflections helped us turn the lessons from Term 1 into meaningful actions and prepare ourselves for an even stronger Term 2.
At MPA, reflection is not simply about looking back. It is about learning from our experiences, growing together, and moving forward with clearer direction and renewed energy.

Little Hands, Colourful Discoveries!

Our Reception learners at MPA International School had a wonderful time discovering how colours change when they mix together!
Using cotton sheets, colourful ice cubes, and their own little hands, the children explored, observed, and discovered new colours through a fun hands-on experience. Their excitement grew as the ice melted and different colours blended together.
Through this simple activity, our young learners developed curiosity, observation skills, creativity, and early scientific thinking — learning naturally through exploration and discovery.
At MPA, we love seeing little minds asking questions, experimenting, and making their own discoveries!

Our Pre-Nursery students had an enchanting learning adventure. They explored the world of fruits and butterflies! The children were completely captivated during story time. To bring the story to life, our toddlers took part in an exciting fine-motor art activity. Using liquid-filled syringes, they carefully squirted colored water onto caterpillar crafts, watching in awe as the paper expanded and transformed with colour right before their eyes! This interactive lesson did so much more than spark their imagination. It helped build crucial early developmental skills. Using syringes greatly strengthens their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, while exploring different fruits boosts their vocabulary and sensory recognition. Above all, sharing the magic together nurtured their listening skills, patience, and joy for learning!

MPA International School မှ pre-nursery ကျောင်းသားကျောင်းသူများဟာ အသီးတွေနဲ့ လိပ်ပြာလေးတွေရဲ့အကြောင်းကို့လေ့လာသင်ယူခဲ့ရပါတယ်။ သူတို့လေးတွေဟာ ဤသင်ခန်းစာအပေါ်မှာ အတော်စိတ်ဝင်စားကြပါတယ်။ အသီးလေးတွေကိုဖွက်ပြီး အသီးနာမည်ပြောကာ မှန်အောင်ရှာခိုင်းတာမျိုးလေးတွေလုပ်ကြတဲ့အချိန်မှာဆိုလျှင် အတော်ပျော်ရွှင်နေတာကို တွေ့ရပါတယ်။ ဆရာမ ပုံပြင်ပြောပြနေတဲ့အချိန်မှာဆိုရင်လည်း သူတို့စိတ်ဝင်တစား နားထောင်ကြပါတယ်။ နောက်ဆုံးအနေနဲ့ သူတို့လေးတွေဟာ အရောင်ထည့်ထားတဲ့ ရေတွေကို tissue ဖြင့်ပြုလုပ်ထားသော caterpiller (ခရုစုန်း) အကောင်လေးတွေထဲကိုထည့်ရတဲ့ activity မျိုးလုပ်ကြပါတယ်။ ထိုအချိန်မှာ အရောင်တွေပြန့်သွားပုံ၊ ကြီးထွားလာပုံတွေကို ဆန်းကြယ်စွာ လေ့လာခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။​ ဒီလို လက်တွေ့လုပ်ရတဲ့အတွက်ကြောင့် ကလေးတွေ၏ စိတ်ကူးဉာဏ်ကို ပွင့်လန်းစေရုံတင်မကပဲ လက်ချောင်းငယ်လေးများ၏ ကြွက်သားဖွံ့ဖြိုးမှု နှင့် လက်နှင့် မျက်စိ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုကိုများစွာ အထောက်အကူပြုပေးပါတယ်။

Our MPA International School Year 7 students recently stepped into the world of chemistry with a fun, hands-on Chromatography activity! After placing marker patterns on filter paper and watching water separate the hidden pigments, they took their creations a step further. Using colorful pipe cleaners, they folded and shaped their dried chromatography papers into beautiful butterflies and creative figurines!

This activity was a fantastic way to make learning both engaging and memorable. Beyond observing chemical separation in action, our Year 7s built valuable practical skills. Working alongside their classmates, they strengthened their communication and collaboration skills by sharing ideas and materials. Designing their crafts also challenged their critical thinking and creative problem-solving, as they blended scientific observation with fine art to transform simple filter paper into 3D creations.

ဒီအပတ်မှာတော့ MPA International School ရဲ့ Year 7 ကျောင်းသား ကျောင်းသူတွေဟာ Chromatography သင်ခန်းစာကို လက်တွေ့လေ့လာခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။ စက္ကူပေါ်မှာ မာကာပင်များဖြင့် ရေးဆွဲပြီး ရေစက်ချကာ အရောင်များ ကွဲထွက်ပြန့်နှံ့သွားပုံကို လေ့လာခဲ့ကြရုံတင်မကဘဲ၊ ထိုစက္ကူလေးများကို ဆေးရောင်စုံ ခေါင်းစည်းကြိုး လေးများဖြင့် စိတ်ကူးကွန့်မြူးကာ လှပသော ရုပ်ပုံလွှာလေးများအဖြစ် ဖန်တီးပုံဖော်ခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။
