🏊♂️ ECA Swimming Activity – Year 1, Year 9 & Year 10 🏊♀️
Today, our students from Year 1, Year 9, and Year 10 participated in the Swimming Activity as part of our school’s Extracurricular Activities (ECA) program. The session provided students with an opportunity to strengthen their swimming skills, build confidence in the water, and develop important qualities such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience.
Our Year 1 students focused on basic water confidence and safety, learning simple movements and enjoying guided practice in a supportive environment. Meanwhile, our Year 9 and Year 10 students engaged in more structured swimming exercises aimed at improving technique, endurance, and overall physical fitness. All students demonstrated enthusiasm, cooperation, and a positive attitude throughout the activity.
The Swimming Activity is just one example of the diverse ECA programs we offer at our school. We are committed to providing a range of enriching opportunities that support students’ holistic development—academically, socially, and physically. These programs are designed to help students explore their interests, discover new talents, and grow both inside and outside the classroom.

🏆⚽️ IISY Shines at the MSAL Football League 2025! ⚽️🏆
We are delighted to share the remarkable achievements of our talented IISY students who participated in the Myanmar Schools Athletic League (MSAL) Football Tournament 2025, proudly hosted by SKT International School. The matches were held at both SKT Riverside Campus and City Campus from October 25 to 26, 2025.
This exciting event brought together schools from across Yangon to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and athletic excellence. It was truly inspiring to see our IISY teams demonstrate such determination, discipline, and unity throughout the tournament.
IISY proudly joined with two U-12 teams and two U-16 teams, competing among strong and talented players from various international schools including SKT City, SKT Riverside, CIS, PISM, Concept X, and NISA.

A New Triumvirate Rises: IISY Student Council 2025-2026
The ballots are counted, the excitement is palpable, and the IISY Student Council has its new leadership!
September 24th was a powerful demonstration of student voice and democratic spirit, kicking off with a compelling Presidential Debate where four outstanding candidates shared their vision for our school's future. From 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, students from Years 2-11 cast their votes, embracing their responsibility in shaping the next chapter of student life. In a testament to fairness and transparency, every vote was counted before the student body.
A heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected Triumvirate— Wai Yan Lin, Phu Pyae Nyo, and Saw Shine Lin Kyu —

Opening Ceremony of the Indonesian Language Course (BIPA) Batch 6/2025
The Indonesian International School Yangon (IISY) hosted the opening ceremony of the Indonesian Language Course (BIPA) Batch 6/2025 on Sunday, 7 September 2025. The program is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Yangon in cooperation with IISY.
The event began with opening remarks delivered by Mr. Novan Ivanhoe Saleh, Chargé d’affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Yangon. Also in attendance were Mr. Harlianto Tarmizi, Minister Counsellor of the Indonesian Embassy in Yangon, and Mr. Sunarjo, Principal of IISY. The ceremony was graced by special guests and attended by approximately 40 students of BIPA Batch 6.
