UTM International was honoured to attend the Hungarian Folk Music Concert hosted by H.E. Dr. Sándor Sipos, Ambassador of Hungary to Malaysia, on Thursday, 2 April 2026 at Sunway University.

The evening featured Flaska Band, a Hungarian folk music ensemble founded in 2014 and internationally recognised for authentic Hungarian folk music, including winning First Prize at the 2019 Büyükçekmece World Tour in Türkiye. 🇭🇺

Programmes like this strengthen international friendship, cultural appreciation, and mutual understanding among global communities. At UTM International, we value diversity and meaningful cultural engagement as part of the international student experience.

UTM International staff came together for Gotong-Royong Perdana (Stor UTMi) to clean, organise, and transform our storage area into a more systematic, tidy, and efficient workspace.

Sometimes the best productivity upgrade starts with decluttering, organising, and working together as one team. A cleaner environment not only looks better — it helps us work smarter, faster, and happier too 😊

Transforming Malaysia into a world-class destination for international students starts with stronger collaboration, better policies, and seamless student experience 🌍

UTM staff involved in international student management participated in the EMGS Town Hall Road Tour 2026 on 11 May 2026 at Le Quadri Kuala Lumpur by UCSI Hotels, bringing together higher education institutions, Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), JPT, and JIM to strengthen international student management, immigration processes, and service delivery for global students in Malaysia.

A meaningful engagement towards building a more efficient, welcoming, and globally competitive higher education ecosystem for international students.

Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Ariffin Abu Hassan together with the UTM International Kuala Lumpur team attended MyCEB Association Day 2026 held at Sunway Resort Hotel on 6 May 2026.

Organised by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), the event brought together association leaders, government agencies, academia, and industry partners to strengthen Malaysia’s business events ecosystem and international collaboration.

As the Lead Host Institution for APAIE 2027 Kuala Lumpur, UTM appreciates MyCEB’s continuous support and strategic partnership in positioning Malaysia as a leading destination for international conferences, higher education engagement, and global knowledge exchange.

On 24 & 25 April 2026, our international students from UTM Kuala Lumpur explored the vibrant Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Pagoh Campus!

They also experienced the wider UTM journey with visits to Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Johor Bahru Campus and the cultural charm of Malacca Historical City 🏛️✨
