Diagnosis & Background
– Elderly patient with multiple missing anterior teeth and reduced OVD.
– No TMD symptoms present.
– Chief complaint: difficulty in function & esthetics.

Treatment Plan

1. Phase 1: Increasing Occlusal Vertical Dimension (OVD) gradually using fixed restorations.

2. Phase 2: Replacement of anterior segment with PFM Bridge to restore esthetics and support OVD increase.

3. Phase 3 (Next): Construction of lower denture for balanced occlusion and improved masticatory function.

Rationale
– For patients without TMD, fixed restorations are generally preferred for long-term stability and patient acceptance.
– Gradual increase of OVD is essential to allow proper neuromuscular adaptation, reducing the risk of discomfort or functional complications.
