Parami University and Bard College (NY) are excited to invite applications for the Higher Education Access Program (HEAP). Supported by USAID Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship Program (DISP), this preparatory program is designed for students who have faced challenges in completing high school or need additional skills—such as critical thinking, digital literacy, analysis, and academic writing—to succeed in international university degree programs.
HEAP provides the comprehensive skills needed to apply to international universities, with personalized guidance to help students succeed.
🔰 Course Highlights
✅HEAP program is a university preparation program.
✅HEAP offers advanced academic English, study skills, and digital literacy classes.
✅Participants will engage with academic writing in STEM and Social Sciences, culminating in intensive workshops on application preparation and test-taking.
🟡Program Duration - January 18, 2025 to mid-October, 2025
🟡 How Will You Learn?
✅Face-to-face online courses taught by Bard-affiliated professors.
✅Group work with students from Bard partner campuses in the U.S., Europe, Canada, South America, and East Asia.
✅All classes will be delivered in English.
📌Who Can Apply?
✅Youth aged 15–24 from Myanmar or Myanmar citizens living in neighboring countries.
✅Individuals with a background of forced displacement, from ethnic minority groups, or with a disability are strongly encouraged to apply.
📌 What is Expected of Participants?
✅Attend 6 hours of weekly classes and complete 4 hours of homework.
✅Attend every class and submit assignments on time.
📌What Will You Get?
✅A Bard/Parami Certificate of Completion, recognized globally.
✅A sealed Bard College transcript with transferable credits.
✅Faculty-led individual support for identifying and preparing for university opportunities in Asia and/or online.

✅ The program is free of charge.

USAID Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship (DISP) ၏ အထောက်အပံ့ဖြင့် စီစဉ်ပြုလုပ်မယ့် HEAP ပရိုဂရမ်ဟာ အထက်တန်းကျောင်း ပြီးမြောက်ဖို့ အခက်အခဲများကြုံတွေ့ခဲ့ရတဲ့ ကျောင်းသူကျောင်းသားများနဲ့ နိုင်ငံတကာတက္ကသိုလ်များမှာ အခက်အခဲမရှိဘဲ ပညာသင်ကြားနိုင်ဖို့ရာအတွက် အရေးကြီးသော ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုများဖြစ်တဲ့ ဥပမာ - ဝေဖန်ပိုင်းခြားတွေးခေါ်တတ်မှု၊ ဒစ်ဂျစ်တယ် ကျွမ်းကျင်မှု၊ ပညာရပ်ဆိုင်ရာ ချဉ်းကပ်ရေးသားတတ်မှု အစရှိတဲ့ ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုများ လိုအပ်နေသော ကျောင်းသူကျောင်းသားများအတွက် အထူးသင်ကြားပေးရန် ရည်ရွယ်ထားပါတယ်။
🔰 HEAP သင်တန်းအကြောင်း
✅ HEAP ပရိုဂရမ်ဟာ တက္ကသိုလ်မတက်ရောက်မီ ရှိထားသင့်တဲ့ အရည်အချင်း/ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုများကို ပြင်ဆင်ပေးတဲ့ အတန်းတစ်ခု ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
✅ HEAP ပရိုဂရမ်ဟာ အဆင့်မြင့် ပညာရပ်ဆိုင်ရာအင်္ဂလိပ် ကျွမ်းကျင်မှု (advanced academic English)၊ သင်ယူလေ့လာနည်းဆိုင်ရာ ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုများ (study skills) နှင့် ဒစ်ဂျစ်တယ်ပညာရပ် အသုံးချတတ်မှုဆိုင်ရာ အတန်းများ (digital literacy classes) များကို သင်ကြားပို့ချပေးသွားမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
✅ အတန်းသူအတန်းသားများအနေဖြင့် သိပ္ပံ၊ နည်းပညာ၊ အင်ဂျင်နီယာ၊ နှင့် သင်္ချာ (STEM) ဘာသာရပ်၊ လူမှုသိပ္ပံ (Social Sciences) ဘာသာရပ်များတွင် ပညာရပ်ဆိုင်ရာ အရေးအသားများဖြင့် ထိတွေ့လေ့ကျင့်ခွင့်ရမှာဖြစ်သလို လျှောက်လွှာပြင်ဆင်ခြင်းနှင့် စာမေးပွဲဖြေဆိုခြင်းဆိုင်ရာ နည်းလမ်းများကိုလည်း workshop များမှတဆင့် လေ့လာသင်ယူနိုင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

✅ Bard College ရဲ့ တွဲဖက်ပါမောက္ခများထံမှ မျက်နှာချင်းဆိုင် အွန်လိုင်းအတန်းမှတဆင့် လေ့လာရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
✅ အမေရိကန်၊ ဥရောပ၊ ကနေဒါ၊ တောင်အမေရိက နှင့် အရှေ့တောင်အာရှရှိ Bard College ရဲ့ မိတ်ဖက်တက္ကသိုလ်များမှ ကျောင်းသူကျောင်းသားများနှင့် (group work) အဖွဲ့လိုက် သင်ခန်းစာများ လုပ်ဆောင်ရင်း လေ့လာရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

✅ နေရပ်မှ အခြေအနေ၊ အခက်အခဲ အမျိုးမျိုးကြောင့် စွန့်ခွာခဲ့ကြရသူများ၊ တိုင်းရင်းသားလူနည်းစု အနွယ်ဝင်များ၊ ကိုယ်အင်္ဂါ မသန်စွမ်းသူများ။
📌 သင်တန်းသူသင်တန်းသားများအနေဖြင့် ဘာတွေ မျှော်လင့်ထားရမလဲ။
✅ တပတ်ကို (၆) နာရီ မပျက်မကွက် အတန်းတက်ရောက်လေ့လာဖို့ လိုအပ်မှာဖြစ်ပြီး အိမ်စာလုပ်ငန်းစဉ်များအတွက် (၄) နာရီခန့် အချိန်ယူကာ ပြီးမြောက်အောင် လုပ်ဆောင်ကြရမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
✅ အတန်းများအားလုံးကို မပျက်မကွက် တက်ရောက်ဖို့ လိုအပ်မှာဖြစ်ပြီး assignments များကိုလည်း သတ်မှတ်ချိန်အတွင်း အချိန်မီ တင်သွင်းဖို့ လိုအပ်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
📌 အတန်းပြီးနောက် ဘာတွေပြန်ရမှာလဲ။
✅ Bard College နှင့် ပါရမီတက္ကသိုလ်တို့မှ ပူးပေါင်းပေးအပ်မယ့် ကမ္ဘာတဝှမ်းတွင်အသိအမှတ်ပြုသော သင်တန်းပြီးဆုံးကြောင်း လက်မှတ်ရရှိမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
✅ Bard College မှ အသိအမှတ်ပြု transcript ရရှိမှာ ဖြစ်ပြီး Bard College မှ transferable credit များလည်း ရရှိမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
✅ အရှေ့တောင်အာရှနှင့် အွန်လိုင်းတက္ကသိုလ် ဝင်ခွင့်များအတွက် သင်ကြားရေးပါမောက္ခ (faculty) များထံမှ လမ်းညွှန်ပံ့ပိုးမှုများကို တစ်ဦးချင်း ရယူတောင်းခံနိုင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
