Phrasal verbs

Phrasal verbs ဆိုတာ verb တွေဖြစ်တယ်၊အဲ့ဒီverb တွေက တစ်လုံးထက်ပိုတယ်၊ ဘယ်နေရာမှာ သွားပိုလဲဆိုတော့ ၊ဘာနဲ့သွားပိုလဲဆိုတော့ preposition လေးတွေနဲ့ သွားပိုနေတာဖြစ်တယ်။ in,on,at, to,up,down, with, without,upon,onto,etc အဲဒါတွေ ထည့်လိုက်တာနဲ့ အဲ့ဒီverbs တွေဟာ original မူရင်း အဓိပ္ပါယ် တွေပြောင်းသွားပြီး တော့ အခြားအဓိပ္ပါယ် ၊တစ်ခါတစ်လေ လုံးဝ ကွဲပြားခြားနားတဲ့ အဓိပ္ပါယ် ပြောင်းသွားပြီးတော့ Phrasal တွေကို အလွတ်ကျက်ရတယ်။အဓိပ္ပါယ်တစ်မျိုးထက်ပို ရှိတယ်။

Work towards=တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို ရောက်ရှိရန်အတွက် (သို့) အောင်မြင်ရန်မပျက်မကွက် အားထုတ်လုက်ဆောင်ခြင်း။ အတွက်ကြိုးစားသည်။ရယူရန်အားထုတ်သည်။ ရောက်ရှိရန်လုပ်ကိုင်သည်။

We are working towards a common goal.
ကျွံန်တော်တို့၏ဟာ ဘုံရည်မှန်းချက်အတွက် ကြိုးစားနေကြတယ်။

She is working towards becoming a doctor.
သူမဟာ ဆရာဝန်တစ်ဦးဖြစ်လာရန် လုပ်ဆောင်နေတယ်။

The team is working towards becoming the championship.
အသင်းဟာ ချန်ပီယံဆုရယူရန် အားထုတ်နေကြတယ်။

He is working towards financial freedom.
သူဟာ ငွေကြေးလွတ်လပ်ခွင့် ရောက်ရှိရန် လုပ်ကိုင်နေတယ်။

အောက် တွင်မြန်မာ ဘာသာပြန်တွဲပါသည်
What a Group!
Last year my English class was full of characters. That's polite way of saying it had some unusual people that I will never forget. One student was such a hard worker that he learned all the idioms in our book by heart. He was always saying things like. I am on cloud nine," or I am green with envy. We never knew if he meant what he said or if he was just practicing English. Another student had a sweet tooth. She would bake lots of bread and cake and bring them to every class for us to share during break. Two students met in the class and fell head over heels in love. We were all invited to their wedding and a great time. Then there was a student who was always pulling someone's leg. For example, one day before class , he put a long home work as signment on the board and made us think that the teacher had given it. We all had long faces until the teacher came in. Then we realized that someone had played a joke on us.
ကဲကိုယ်ဘာပြန်ထားတာနဲ့ တိုက်ကြည့်လိုက်ပါ အုန်း

မနှစ်ကပေါ့ ကျွန်တော်တို့ အဂ်လိပ်စာ သင်တန်းမှာ တမူထူးတဲ့ လူထူးလူဆန်းတွေနဲ့ အပြည့်ပဲ။ ဒါကလည် ယဉ်ယဉ်ကျေးကျေးပြောရရင် ငကြောင်လို့ မပြောချင်လို့ ၊ကျွန်တော့်တစ်သက်မှာ ဘယ်တော့မှ မေ့ပျောက်လို့ရမှာ မဟုတ်တဲ့ ရှားရှားပါးပါး ထူးခြားတဲ့ လူတွေပေါ့။ ကျောင်းသား တစ်ယောက်က စာသိပ်ကြိုးစားတဲ့သူဆိုတော့ ကျွန်တော်တို့ စာအုပ်ထဲမှာရှိတဲ့ အီဒီယမ်ကို အလွတ်ကျက်တယ်။ ကျွန်တော်သိပ်ပျော်တာပဲ။ I am on cloud nine. သူ့အပေါ် မနာလိုဖြစ်မိတယ် I am green with envy စတဲ့ အီဒီယမ် တွေကို အမြဲလိုလို ပြောဆိုတယ်။ သူပြောတဲ့ဟာတွေကို သူ့ဟာသူ အဓိပ္ပါယ်နားလည်ပြီး ပြောတာလား ၊ဒါမှ မဟုတ် အဂ်လိပ်စာကို လေ့ကျင့်ရုံ သက်သက်ပြောနေတာလားဆိုတာ ကျွန်တော်တို့ လုံးဝမသိခဲ့ရဘူး။
အခြားကျောင်းသူတစ်ယောက်က လည်း အချိုသိပ်ကြိုက်တယ်။ သူမက ပေါင်မုန့်တွေ ကိတ်မုန့် တွေ အများကြီးဖုတ်ပြီး ကျွန်တော်တို့အတွက်သင်တန်းအချိန်တိုင်း ယူလာတယ်။အတန်းနားချိန်မှာ ကျွန်တော်တို့ ကို ခွဲဝေပြီးကျွေးတယ်။ ကျောင်းသူနဲ့ ကျောင်းသားနှစ်ယောက်ကတော့ အတန်းထဲမှာ တွေ့ခဲ့ကြပြီး တစ်ယောက်ကိုတစ်ယောက် မခွဲနိုင်မခွာရက် အရူးအမူး ချစ်တဲ့ ချစ်သူတွေ ဖြစ်သွားခဲ့ကြတယ်။ သူတို့ မဂ်လာ ဆောင်တဲ့အခါ ကျွန်တော်တို့အားလုံးကို ဖိတ်ကြားတယ်။ မဂ်လာဆောင်မှာ ကျွန်တော်တို့ အလွန့်အလွန်ပျော်ခဲ့ကြတယ်။ ပြီးတော့ နောက်ပြောင်ကျီဆယ်တဲ့ ကျောင်းသားတစ်ယောက်လည်းရှိသေးတယ်။ဥပမာ ဆိုပါတော့ တစ်နေ့ပေါ့ စာသင်ချိန်မစခင် အိမ်စာလေ့ကျင့်ခန်း အရှည်ကြီး တစ်ခုကို ကျောက်တင်ပုန်းမှာ သူက ရေးထားတယ်။ ဆရာက ရေးထားပြီး ကျွန်တော်တို့ ကို ခိုင်းတာလို့ ထင်အောင်ပေါ့။အားလုံးရဲ့ မျက်နှာ အမူအရာက မရွှင်မကြည် မကျေမနပ်နဲ့လေ။ ဆရာရောက်လာပြီး ဆရာခိုင်းတာမဟုတ်ဘူးလို့ သိတဲ့အချိန်ထိပေါ့။ အဲဒီတော့မှပဲ တစ်ယောက်ယောက်က နောက်ပြောင်ထားတယ်ဆိုတာ သိရတော့တာကိုး။

ခြေလက်အဂ်ါ၊ဦးခေါင်း၊အရေခွံဆိုတာတွေဟာ ခန္တာကိုယ် အစိတ်အပိုင်း တွေဖြစ်ပါတယ် ဒါပေမဲ့
စာကြိုးစားကွာ၊ စာမေးပွဲမှာ မင်ခြေချော်လက်ချော် ဖြစ်သွားမှာ စိုးလို့ ။မင်းက တော်တော် ခေါင်းမာတဲ့ အကောင်ပဲ။ ဘယ်လောက် ဝေဖန်ဝေဖန် သူက အရေထူနေပြီ။ ကျွန် တော့တူက တော်တော်ကို အားကိုးရတာ ၊ကျွန်တော့်ရဲ ညာလက်ရုံးပေါ့။ အခုသူမရှိတော့ လက်တစ်ဖက်ပြုတ်တာပဲ ဗျာ။

To Go Fishing,or Not to Go Fishing

For some people, fishing so enjoyable that it puts them in seventh heaven. For others , fishing is a good time to relax and catch forty winks. I am of two mind about it. At first sight , fishing seems like fun. But on second thought, I Just don't like to handle a fish when I catch it. To many people who like fishing, It is second nature to look at a river or a lake and know where the fish are.They have a sixth sense that helps them do this.Soon they are catching fish, While I am still trying to put the worm on the hook.

မာလာ: ငါတော့ အခက်အခဲ ကြုံပြီ။ ငါ ပါတီပွဲအကြီးကြီးလုပ်ဖို့ ငါမှာ ဟင်းခွက်နဲ့ ဖန်ခွက် လုံလုံလောက်လောက်မရှိဘူး။

သီတာ: စိတ်မပူနဲ့ ငါ့ဟာတွေထဲက အချို့ကို ငါ ဌါးပေးလိုက်မယ်။
