Thrush အုပ်စုဝင်ငှက်တွေကို မြန်မာအမည် မြေလူးငှက်လို့ ခေါ်ဝေါ်ကြပါတယ်။
ပုပ္ပားဒေသမှာ တွေ့ရတဲ့ မြေလူးငှက်တွေထဲ တခါမြင်ဖူးရုံနဲ့ မှတ်မိလွယ်တဲ့ ငှက်ဟာ မြေလူးခေါင်းနီ Orange-headed Thrush (Zoothera citrina) ဖြစ်မယ်ထင်ပါတယ်။

မြေလူးခေါင်းနီလို့ အမည်ပေးထားပေမဲ့ ဦးခေါင်းတခုပဲ နီတာမဟုတ်ပါဘူး၊ ဦးခေါင်းကနေ ရင်ဘတ်မှဆီ ဝမ်းဗိုက်အထိ လိမ္မော်နီရောင် ရှိပါတယ်။ တောင်ပံကျောအုပ်နဲ့ အမြီးပိုင်းက မီးခိုးပြာရောင် ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ပုပ္ပားတောင်ဥယျာဉ် တောတွင်းချောင်စခန်းအနီးက ရေကန်လေးမှာတော့ မထင်မှတ်ပဲ သုံးကောင် တပြိုင်ထဲ ရောက်လာတာကို မှတ်တမ်းရခဲ့ပါတယ်။

စွေ့အုပ်စုဝင်တွေထဲက ချုံတိုးစွေ့မျက်ကွင်းနီ သို့မဟုတ် ခြံစည်းရိုးစွေ့ အမည်ရတဲ့ Yellow-eyed Babbler ကို ဖော်ပြလိုက်ပါတယ်။ ဒီငှက်လေးက အမြဲနေထိုင်တဲ့ ဌာနေငှက်ဖြစ်ပြီး မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ နေရာအနှံ့အပြားမှာ ကျက်စားပါတယ်။

🎨 Calling all young artists! ifaw is thrilled to launch the 2026 World Wildlife Day International Youth Art Contest!

This year’s theme — “Medicinal and Aromatic Plants: Conserving Health, Heritage and Livelihoods” — invites youth ages 4–18 to create hand‑drawn artwork celebrating the wild plants and animals that sustain our world. Be sure to include plants in your piece!

Dear Colleagues, On Tuesday (14 December), Dr Marcela submitted the final report to the EU authorities. It is the official end of MuEuCAP. This is very sad. It was a wonderful programme that achieved so much. We hope that in the future, we can start again with some new wonderful projects. Meanwhile, all who worked in the EU team wish all of you in Myanmar a very happy Christmas and trust that 2022 will be a much better year for everyone. WE MISS YOU ALL and we miss the wonderful country that is Myanmar. Here are just a few photographs (randomly selected) to remind us of an amazing time.

Dear Myanmar MuEuCAP colleagues. This is a simple message to say that each and everyone of us in the European universities is thinking of you at this incredibly difficult time. We read constantly of the situation in Myanmar and our hearts reach-out to you. We miss you; we miss the project; and we miss the wonderful progress that you, the staff and students were making. We wait patiently for the time when we can restart our collaborative work and once again can concentrate on science and biodiversity conservation and all the good things that make the world worthwhile. Please NEVER interpret our silence as a lack of interest. We are waiting and watching and hoping and as soon as their is a possibility, we will be back with redoubled interest and a commitment to support you in all aspects of biodiversity science. We are always your friends.
