The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar. This traditional Chinese holiday is filled with rich cultural activities, including dragon boat racing and eating delicious zongzi (sticky rice dumplings).

🛶 **Dragon Boat Racing**: Teams paddle synchronized, beautifully decorated dragon boats to the rhythm of drum beats, creating an exciting and lively atmosphere.

🍃 **Zongzi**: These tasty treats are made of glutinous rice stuffed with various fillings, wrapped in bamboo leaves, and steamed to perfection.

The festival commemorates the life and death of the famous Chinese scholar Qu Yuan, who drowned himself in the Miluo River. Locals raced out in boats to save him or at least recover his body, which is why we have dragon boat racing today.
