Learning in Action!
Our Grade 2 students explored Unit 2: Non-Fiction – “Party Time!” by diving into the exciting world of procedural texts through a hands-on pizza-making activity.
Through this engaging learning experience, students discovered how non-fiction texts can guide real-life tasks — from reading and following a recipe, sequencing steps, and collaborating as a team.
This activity not only strengthened their reading comprehension and procedural writing skills, but also fostered
creativity, independence, and practical life learning.
Every slice of their pizza creation represents their confidence as readers, thinkers, and doers. What a delicious way to learn!
