စကားပြောဝါကျများ

1. ငါ ရေတင်ဖို့ မေ့သွားတယ်။
I forgot to pump water.

2. သူ ဘီး လေထိုးနေတယ်။
He is pumping air into the tyre.

3. မင်း ရေတွင်းကနေ ရေငင်တတ်လား။
Can you draw water from the well?

4. မင်း ငါ့ကို ထမင်း ခူးပေးပါလား။
Could you please scoop out some rice for me?

5. ငါ အဲ့လို ဆိုလိုတာမဟုတ်ပါဘူး။
I don't mean it that way.

6. ငါ့ မျက်စိရှေ့ကနေ ထွက်သွားစမ်း။
Get out of my sight!

7. ငါ့အရှေ့ကနေ ဖယ်စမ်း။
Get out of my way!

8. ငါတို့က စိတ်ချင်းဆက်နေကြတာ။
We have a strong mental connection.
We connect mentally.

9. ငါ မင်းကို မုန်းတယ်လို့ ဘယ်သူပြောတာလဲ။
Who says I hate you?

10. သူမကို ဒီလို မဆက်ဆံပါနဲ့၊ သူမက မင်းရဲ့ ဆွေမျိုးအရင်းအချာပါ။
Don't treat her like that! She is your own flesh and blood.

11. ငါ စိတ်သွားတိုင်း ကိုယ်မပါဘူး။
The spirit is willing but my flesh is weak.

12. ငါ ဒီနေ့ စိတ်နဲ့ ကိုယ်နဲ့ မကပ်ဘူးကွာ။
I am not myself today.

13. မင်း စိတ်နဲ့ကိုယ်နဲ့လည်း ကပ်ပါအုံး။
Get your act together!

14. ငါ စိတ်ရောကိုယ်ပါ ပင်ပန်းနေတယ်။
I am physically and mentally drained.

15. စိတ်ရော ကိုယ်ပါ ကျမ်းမာကြပါစေ။
May you stay healthy both physically and mentally.

"short" နှင့် ပတ်သတ်သော အသုံးများ

1. Be short of sth / Run short of = နည်းသော၊ရှားပါးသော၊လိုသော၊မလုံလောက်သော

Eg. I am short of time to go out.
ငါ အပြင်သွားဖို့အတွက် အချိန် သိပ်မရဘူး။
Eg. My car is running short of petrol.
ကျွန်တော့်ကားက ဓာတ်ဆီ နည်းနေပြီ။

2. Be short on sth = Be short of/run short of တို့နဲ့ အဓိပ္ပာယ်တူပေမဲ့ ဒီအသုံးကို quality, skill, resources, abstract and non-physical (စိတ္တဇဆန်သော၊ ရုပ်ဝတ္ထုပစ္စည်းမဟုတ်သော) ဖြစ်တဲ့ အရာတွေနဲ့ ပိုပြီး တွဲသုံး‌လေ့ရှိပါတယ်။

Eg. She was short on confidence during the meeting.
သူမက အစည်းအဝေးကျင်းပတဲ့အချိန်မှာ ယုံကြည်မှု နည်းနေခဲ့တယ်။

3. S + Be short for sth = အတိုကောက်

Eg. “Mike” is short for “Michael".
Mike ဆိုတာ Michael ရဲ့ အတိုကောက်ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

4. Be short with sb = လေသံမာသော၊ရိုင်းပြသော

Eg. I am sorry for being short with you earlier.
အခုနတုန်းက ငါ မင်းပေါ် ရိုင်းပြမိတဲ့အတွက် တောင်းပန်ပါတယ်။

5. Fall short of sth = လိုအပ်ချက်၊မျှော်လင့်ချက် မပြည့်မှီဖြစ်သည်။

Eg. I got one distinction in the matriculation exam, but it fell short of my parents' expectations.
ကျွန်တော် 10 တန်းစာမေးပွဲမှာ ဂုဏ်ထူးတစ်ဘာသာရခဲ့တယ် ၊ ဒါပေမဲ့ အဲ့ဒါက ကျွန်တော့်မိဘတွေရဲ့ မျှော်လင့်ချက်ကို မပြည့်မှီစေခဲ့ဘူး။

Eg. The money collected fell short of the money required.
စုမိတဲ့ပိုက်ဆံက လိုအပ်တဲ့ပိုက်ဆံပမာဏကို မပြည့်မှီခဲ့ဘူး။

6. Go short of sth = ပြတ်လပ်သည် ၊ ချို့တဲ့သည်။

Eg. Many roadside kids go short of food.
လမ်းဘေးကလေးအများစုက အစားအာဟာရ ချို့တဲ့ကြတယ်။

Eg. I have never gone short of love in my family.
ကျွန်တော် မိသားစုထဲမှာ ဘယ်တုန်းကမှ အချစ်မေတ္တာ မပြတ်လပ်ဖူးဘူး။

7. Nothing short of = extremely နဲ့ တူပါတယ်။
Eg. Their performance is nothing short of amazing.
သူတို့ရဲ့ ဖျော်ဖြေမှုက အရမ်းကောင်းတယ်။

8. Short of = သတ်မှတ်ချက်တစ်ခု ပြည့်မှီရန် လိုအပ်သော
Eg. He was 3 days short of his 50th birthday when he died.
သူက သူ့အသက် ၅၀ပြည့် မွေးနေ့ရောက်ဖို့ ၃ ရက်အလိုမှာ သေသွားခဲ့တယ်။

Basic Grammar ရပြီး English စာ စကားပြော လေ့လာချင်ရင် Vocabulary + Collocation + Speaking pattern + practice ပုံစံကို သုံးပါ

Vocabulary ကို စကားလုံးသိရုံ အဓိပ္ပာယ်သိရုံမဟုတ်ဘဲ Collocation လိုက် လေ့လာပါ။

ဉပမာ - wash = လျှော်ဖွတ်သည်၊ဆေးကြောသည်။
အဲ့လို တစ်လုံးထဲ မှတ်တာက vocabulary range ကို ကျဉ်းစေပါ‌တယ်။

အဲ့တော့ သူနဲ့ တွဲသုံးတဲ့ collocations တွေကို တစ်ပါတည်း လေ့လာရပါမယ်။
Wash sb's face = မျက်နှာသစ်သည်။
Wash sb's hands = လက်ဆေးသည်။
Wash sb's hair = ခေါင်းလျှော်သည်။
Wash sb's clothes = အဝတ်လျှော်သည်။
အများကြီးကျန်ပါသေးတယ်။

ပြီးရင် speaking pattern တွေကို လေ့လာပါ။

I want to + V1 = ငါ ...ချင်တယ်။
I have to + V1 = ငါ....ရမယ်။
I need to + V1 = ငါ .... ဖို့ လိုတယ်။

ဒါမျိုး pattern တွေက အဲ့လို ကျက်ပြီး ကျော်သွားရင် အလကားပါပဲ။
ဘာလုပ်ပေးရလဲဆိုရင် အဲ့ဒီလို speaking pattern တွေကို အခုန လေ့လာခဲ့တဲ့ Collocation တွေနဲ့ ပေါင်းပြီး စကားပြောအတွက် practice လုပ်ကြည့်ပါ။

Eg. ငါ ခေါင်းလျှော်ချင်တယ်။
I want to wash my hair.

Eg. ငါ လက်ဆေးဖို့ လိုတယ်။
I need to wash my hands.

Eg. ငါ မျက်နှာသစ်ရမယ်။
I have to wash my face.

စသဖြင့် စကားပြောမှာ အဆုံးချကြည့်ပါ။
Basic grammar တုန်းက သင်ခဲ့ရတဲ့ making negative, making question လုပ်နည်းတွေနဲ့ ပေါင်းစပ်လိုက်တဲ့အခါ စာကြောင်း‌တွေ စကားပြောဝါကျတွေ အများကြီး ရလာပါတယ်။

Eg . You don't need to wash your hands all the time.
မင်း တစ်ချိန်လုံး လက်ဆေးနေစရာ မလိုပါဘူး။

Eg. Do you want to wash your hair?
မင်း ခေါင်းလျှော်ချင်တာလား။
