Tipitakanaya Studies+ : Key Approach
As the major lifeline of Pitaka Studies, Tipitakanayavidhi is deeply rooted in the higher education level of Myanmar Buddhist Dhammacariya system. From the beginning of Pariyatti education to the present day, various types of Tipitaka methods have been continuously studied for centuries. In the study of the Vinaya, Suttanta and Abhidhamma Pali literature along with a wide range of commentaries, there is a great deal of endeavour to understand the theories of Tipitaka methods and to apply systematically in the learning process of Buddhist Studies for the improvement of quality and advancement of knowledge. The development of methodological strategies for Tipitaka Studies can be utilized through the combination of traditional teaching methods and modern learning methods in the matter of learning techniques and approaches of Tipitakanayavidhi. With the implementation of Tipitaka theories and techniques into practice, therefore, SOLA will fully enhance its workload to create a research-intensive learning environment to meet the needs of the new generation and to adapt to the context of the new century.

As the heart of the three forms of Pitaka, Suttanata Literature conserves five sets of Nikaya and a variety of prose and poetry with the richness in form and taste. SOLA is committed to provide the environment that will be conducive to the study of Suttanta literature through the combination of traditional learning methods and modern research techniques. In addition, it will be approached from the perspectives of Social Science and Humanities along with a major focus on Buddhist Studies, centred on the Suttanta Pitaka and the related literatures.
