This Easter Vigil reminds us not only of the resurrection, but also to live with joy and trust in God’s presence each day.
In the Gospel, the women went to the tomb worrying about the stone—yet it was already rolled away.
God is already working ahead of us.
Our fears are often answered before we even arrive.
Let us live freely, trust deeply, and rejoice always—
for Christ is risen!

Today, we remember the first anniversary of the devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on

28 March 2025

The earthquake hit near Mandalay, causing widespread destruction across the region. In just a few moments, thousands of lives were lost, and countless families were left in grief and hardship. Homes, schools, and places of worship were reduced to rubble. Survivors faced not only the immediate shock but also the long and painful journey of rebuilding their lives.

One year later, the scars remain. Many communities are still recovering, yet our resilience and courage continue to endure. Reconstruction efforts are ongoing, and hope slowly rises from the ruins.

Today is not only a day of remembrance but also a day of solidarity. We honor those who lost their lives, support the survivors, and stand together in compassion. Let us keep each other in our thoughts and prayers, and continue to extend help wherever it is needed.
