Transfer Student အဖြစ် ASU မှာ လျှောက်မယ်ဆိုရင်တော့ မိမိတက်ထားတဲ့၊ တက်နေတဲ့ တက္ကသိုလ်၊ ကောလိပ်ကနေ GPA Transcripts ထုတ်ယူဖို့ လိုပါတယ်။ ရလာပြီဆိုရင်​တော့ အပြည့်အစုံ ဖြည့်ထားတဲ့ Application form နဲ့အတူ ASU-SEA Representative ဆီကို ပို့ပေးရပါမယ်။ လက်ရှိ တက္ကသိုလ်မှာ Civil Engineering တက်ထားပြီး ASU မှာလည်း Civil Engineering ပဲ ဆက်တက်မယ်ဆိုရင် Credit transfer အပြည့်အဝ ရနိုင်ပါတယ်။ လက်ရှိမှာ Civil Engineering တက်ပြီး ASU မှာ အခြား Major ပြောင်းတက်မယ်ဆိုရင်တော့ Credit transfer ရတာ နည်းသွားမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

ASU ရဲ့ Global Preparation Program မှာ Transfer Student ​တွေ ရမယ့် အခွင့်အ​ရေး​တွေကို ပြန်​ပြောပြပါမယ်။

၁။ အခြားတက္ကသိုလ်မှာ တက်​နေတာက​နေ ASU မှာ Major တူကို ​ပြောင်းတက်မယ်ဆိုရင် Full Credit transfer ရနိုင်ပါတယ်။

၂။ အဲဒီလို​ဆိုရင် ကျန်တဲ့ Credit အကုန်လုံးကို ASU မှာ In-State Tuition fee နဲ့ ဆက်တက်ခွင့်ရမယ်။
ပုံမှန် ​ကျောင်းလခထက် ၆၀% သက်သာတာ ဖြစ်လို့ ​ကျောင်းလခ အများကြီး သက်သာသွားမယ်။ In-State Tuition Fees ကို ​ကျောင်းပြီးသည်အထိ ရဖို့အတွက် GPA 2.0 ရဖို့ပဲလိုပါတယ်။ (GPA 3.0 ရစရာ မလိုပါ။) ဒါက Global Preparation Program ကို Transfer လုပ်တာနဲ့ ပုံမှန် Transfer ​ပြောင်းလာတာနဲ့ မတူတဲ့အချက် ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

၃။ Insurance ဖိုး သက်သာမယ် (Additional Saving in Insurance)။
Global Preparation Program မှာ အကျုံးဝင်သွားတာနဲ့ Insurance Certificate ကို ASU က​နေ ဝယ်စရာမလိုပဲ ASU-SEA Representative နဲ့ သ​ဘောတူထားတဲ့ Insurance Provider က​နေ ဝယ်ယူခွင့်ရမှာဖြစ်လို့ တနှစ်ကို $3,000 ​ကျော် ကုန်ကျမယ့်အစား $1,000 ​အောက်မှာ ဝယ်လို့ရမှာဖြစ်လို့ နှစ်စဉ် $2,000 ​ကျော် ထပ်သက်သာသွားမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

၄။ ASU က​ပေးတဲ့ Scholarship ​​တွေလျှောက်လို့ရမယ်။

လက်ရှိတက်​နေတဲ့ တက္ကသိုလ်မှာ GPA ​ကောင်းရင် ASU မှာ Transfer Scholarship လျှောက်လို့ရမယ်။ အဲဒါက $1,000 က​နေ $2,000 အထိရနိုင်ပါတယ်။

Other Earn-In Scholarship ​တွေလည်း ​လျှောက်လို့ရမယ်။ Earn-In Scholarship ဆိုတာက​တော့ ASU ​ရောက်ပြီးမှ GPA 3.0 အထက်ရရင် ​လျှောက်လို့ရတဲ့ Scholarship ​တွေ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

၅။ Part Time အလုပ် လုပ်နိုင်မယ်။

တက္ကသိုလ်ထဲမှာ နှစ်စဉ် Prat Time Job Opportunity ​တွေ ​​ထောင်​ကျော် ရှိပါတယ်။ Part time jobs ​တွေဆိုတာ ဝင်​ငွေတစ်ခုရဖို့တင် မကပါဘူး။ အလုပ်အ​တွေ့အကြုံ ရလာမယ်။ Interpersonal Skill, Social Skill တက်လာမယ်။ Network ကျယ်လာမယ်။ ပြီး​တော့ ကိုယ့်ရဲ့ Resume မှာ Track Record ​ကောင်းတစ်ခု ဖြစ်လာနိုင်ပါတယ်။

ဒါ့အပြင် Burmese Students Association (BSA) မှာပါဝင်လှုပ်ရှားနိုင်မယ်။ BSA က ASU မှာ တရားဝင်အသိအမှတ်ပြုထားတဲ့ မြန်မာ​ကျောင်းသားအဖွဲ့အစည်းတစ်ခု ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ မြန်မာ​ကျောင်းသား​တွေ စုစည်းစွာ ပူး​ပေါင်းပါဝင်ကြတဲ့ အဖွဲ့အစည်းဖြစ်လို့ Home away from Home လို့ ခံစားရနိုင်တဲ့ အသိုက်အဝန်းတစ်ခု ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
