Ho Pone Access Program

Access Program promotes Education, Leadership and Community Service for young people. The monastic school library was established in 2006.

The Naung Taung Gratis Monastic School is situated in Ho Pone, Pa-Oh Self Administrated Area, Southern Shan State. The monastery was founded in 1987 and the present monastic school was established in 2003 under the permission of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The school has grown as pre-school to provide elementary education, basic computer courses. The school was

upgraded to middle and high school levels in 2010. Currently, the school is providing elementary to high school education to 1,500 students with 40 classrooms and 100 teachers. The abbot and the principal of the school is Ven. Rajinda Siri and he is the most responsible person for the school. The monastic school has been a partnering organization for the Access programs since 2011. The school will provide spacious classrooms, a computer room, computer training courses and other additional training programs which will promote students' awareness about agriculture and community development. However, the above mentioned activities for the access program's students will be managed under the Naung Taung Gratis Monastic School's own funds. On the other hand, participating party will be sharing the leading role in the process of the program administration.
