'd' နဲ့စတဲ့ "due" ဆိုတဲ့စာလုံးလေးပါ။

💠As usual, let's start with the pronunciation!
1️⃣ British English မှာ /djuː/ (few ကို ထွက်သလို ယသံ ပါပါတယ်။ အနီးစပ်ဆုံးကတော့ "ဒယူး" ပါ)
2️⃣ American English မှာ /duː/ လို့ထွက်တယ်။
(do သံလိုပါပဲ "ဒူး" ပေါ့) Americans က 'new' နဲ့ 'knew' ကိုလည်း ဒီလိုပဲ /nu:/ လို့အသံတူထွက်တာတွေ့ရပါတယ်။

3️⃣ Latin ဘာသာအရ dēbēre ကဆင်းသက်တယ်ဆိုပြီးတွေ့ရပါတယ်။

💠 Meaning ကတော့ noun/ adjective/ adverb သုံးပုံအလိုက်ကွာတာဆိုတော့ သီးသန့်ပဲရှင်းပေးထားပါတယ်။ ရှည်နေမှာစိုးလို့အရေးပါတာအသုံးများတာတွေကို အဓိကဝေမျှပါမယ်။

💠 As an adjective
1️⃣ Adjective အနေနဲ့ ပထမဆုံး meaning ကတော့ needed, owing စတာတွေနဲ့ဆိုင်ပါတယ်။ ပေးဆပ်ဖို့ကျန်တာ လိုနေတာ အကြွေးတင်နေတာဆိုတဲ့အဓိပ္ပာယ်ပါ။
e g.1. The rent is due at the end of the month. (လကုန်မှာပေးရတော့မယ်၊ ပေးဖို့လိုနေပြီ)
e.g.2. Two hundred dollars is due (to) me from the company I worked for last month. (American English မှာတော့ due me လို့ 'to' မထည့်ဘဲလည်းသုံးပါတယ်။)

2️⃣ ကိုယ်ကတစ်ခုခုကို due ဖြစ်တယ်လို့ပြောရင် (If I am due something, ............) ရသင့်ရထိုက်သော ဆိုတဲ့ meaning လည်းရှိပါတယ်။
e.g.1. After 1 year's employment, I'll be due 10 days vacation. (တစ်နှစ်အလုပ်လုပ်ပြီးနောက် ဆယ်ရက်အားလပ်ရက်ရသင့်ရထိုက်ပါတယ်။)
e.g.2. Honour to whom honour is due. (ဂုဏ်ပြုထိုက်သူကို ဂုဏ်ပြုပါ။)

3️⃣ scheduled, expected, forecast (အစီအစဉ်ဆွဲထား/ မျှော်လင့်ထား/ ခန့်မှန်းထားသော) စတဲ့ meanings လည်းရှိပါတယ်။
e.g.1. What time is the next train due? (မျှော်မှန်းထားလို့ရတဲ့/ schedule ဆွဲပြီးသားရထားလာချိန်ကိုမေး)

4️⃣ Having reached the expected, scheduled, or natural time. (အစီအစဉ်ဆွဲထား/ မျှော်လင့်ထား၊ ပုံမှန်သဘာဝအတိုင်းဖြစ်လာရတဲ့အချိန်ရောက်နေပြီဖြစ်သော) စတဲ့ meanings လည်းရှိပါတယ်။

1️⃣ Deserved acknowledgment (ထိုက်တန်သောအသိအမှတ်ပြုခံရမှု) ဆိုတဲ့ meaning နဲ့ပါ။
e.g. Give him his due — he is a good actor. (သူက actor ကောင်းတစ်ယောက်ပဲလေ သူ့ကိုအသိအမှတ်ပြုပေးလိုက်ပါ။)

1️⃣ Adverb အနေနဲ့ကတော့ ပုံစံတစ်မျိုးပဲပြောတာတွေ့ရ။ directions ဖြစ်တဲ့ east, west, north, south စသည်တို့နဲ့ directly, straight or exactly မြန်မာလိုတော့ "စူးစူး" ဒါမှမဟုတ် "တည့်တည့်"လို့ပြန်ရင်နီးစပ်တယ်။
e.g. They headed due north. (သူတို့ မြောက်စူးစူးကိုဦးတည်သွားခဲ့ကြတယ်)

💠 Idioms (ထူးခြားသောအသုံးများ)
1️⃣ due to + noun/ noun phrase
- because of/ caused by [အကြောင်း (တစ်ရပ်ရပ်)ကြောင့်]
e.g.1. The delay was due to an accident.
e.g.2. His dog's escape was due to the broken gate.
e g.3. His absence from school was due to the illness.

2️⃣ give someone his or her due
- to treat someone fairly (တစ်ယောက်ယောက်ကို ကောင်းကောင်းမွန်မွန်ဆက်ဆံတာ)
e g. We gave him his due; nothing more.

- to acknowledge someone's unexpectedly positive behaviour (တစ်ယောက်ယောက်က
