𝐌𝐄𝐂𝐂 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫

As part of its action plan aimed at visiting English clubs across Mali, the Mali English Clubs Council (MECC) had the pleasure of visiting two wonderful, dynamic, and inspiring English clubs.

On Saturday, August 15th, MECC visited Club of English Learners-CEL. Our motto is:All together we can. , where we had a very interesting, engaging, and informative session. It was a great opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen our commitment to promoting English language learning.

On Sunday, August 16th, MECC continued its tour in Niamana English club N.E.C, sharing another valuable moment with passionate English learners and club members.

On behalf of the Mali English Clubs Council, we sincerely thank everyone who came out and contributed to making these visits meaningful and successful.

𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐏 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲

On Saturday, August 1st, 2026, the ENETP English Club successfully held the 1st Edition of its Cultural at Yambo Ouologuem University under the theme: 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝑽𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒊:𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑶𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆.

The event officially commenced at 10:00 a.m. with opening remarks from the Masters of Ceremony, followed by a series of inspiring speeches delivered by the President of ENETP English Club, representatives of the American Corner, the Mali English Clubs Council (MECC), the Godfather, the Godmother, and the founder of the club, who also spoke on behalf of the former leaders.
A thought-provoking lecture was then delivered by Mr. Ibrahim Maïga, one of our professors at FLSL. His presentation was highly insightful and greatly appreciated by the participants, who gained valuable knowledge and perspectives from his intervention.
The event also witnessed a strong representation from the Mali English Clubs Council (MECC), with the presence of several executive members, including the President, Vice President , Secretary General, and other leaders. Many English club presidents and leaders also attended, contributing to the spirit of unity, networking, and collaboration that characterized the occasion.
Overall, the 1st Edition of the ENETP English Club Cultural Day was a great success. It provided an enriching platform for learning, cultural exchange, networking, and strengthening collaboration among English clubs.

The session was officially opened by the President, Mr. Drissa CAMARA, who welcomed the event’s Godfather and all members of the English Clubs.

He also welcomed the panel of judges: Mr. Souleymane BAGAYOGO, Mrs. Mariam KONATE, and Mr. Abdoulaye COULIBALY , along with the audience and all participants. In his opening address, the President highlighted the mission and significance of this grand final.

The event’s Godfather, Mr. Bakary DIARRA, delivered a brief and inspiring speech to the public and to the young leaders present.

The final debate brought together Team "The Wise" and Team "The Believers" on the topic: "Mali can achieve sustainable development without foreign aid." Both teams presented well-structured arguments, strong evidence, and persuasive delivery.

Before the jury’s decision, the audience enjoyed an entertainment segment featuring skits, comedy, proverb games, and other activities. We were also honored by speeches from Senators Mr. Sirama, Mr. Sidi Amar, Mr. Ascofaré, and Bry Badiane, as well as from our partners.

Following a thorough evaluation based on confidence, clarity, teamwork, and quality of argumentation, the judges declared Team "The Believers" as the winner.

The event concluded successfully with a group photo of all participants, organizers, and guests.

As part of the ongoing MECC English Clubs Tour, the English Learning Club (ELC) warmly welcomed the MECC delegation in an atmosphere of hospitality, friendship, brotherhood, and unity.
The visit took place in Missira, near Sougouni Koura, and officially began around 10:00 AM.
The session opened with inspiring welcoming remarks from the President of ELC, whose words filled the room with hope and enthusiasm. He expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone in attendance for their presence and support, while encouraging members to remain determined, believe in their dreams, and never give up despite the challenges they may face.
The floor was then given to the President of MECC, who expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and encouraged members to remain committed to the vision and mission of MECC while strengthening collaboration among English clubs.
We sincerely thank the members of ELC for their warm reception, generosity, and the memorable moments shared throughout the visit.
