😎 For Blagojce, an Architecture student at UACS, every day is an opportunity to turn his passion into real projects. 🌆

From studying theory and understanding structure, to sketching concepts and refining them with professors, each step builds toward something bigger.

👉 In between, there’s teamwork, different perspectives, and those quick coffee breaks where ideas somehow get even better.

Because architecture it’s about thinking, shaping, and creating something that lasts.

This is Blagojce’s story. What will yours look like?

Theory is great, but doing is where the magic happens!

We are officially 2 days away from INTERSECTIONS 2026! This isn’t your typical sit-and-listen lecture series. It’s a completely student-led, multidisciplinary conference where our students step out of the textbook and into the role of researchers, problem-solvers, and thought leaders. This is, in fact, the aim of Academic Writing!

From investigating AI’s impact on trust to analyzing sports nutrition and cultural trends, these projects are the definition of learning through doing. Our students have done the digging, analyzed the data, and are ready to share their insights with the world. And isn’t it just neat to invest your whole self in your exam, rather than hunch over a test for a couple of hours!

Come out and support the next generation of thinkers!

👉 For Jovana, a student of Marketing and Digital Transformation at UACS, every day is a mix of creativity, strategy and personal expression.

One moment she’s working on a campaign idea with her classmates and the next, she’s getting ready for the runway. And somewhere in between, there’s coffee, conversations and a bit of cooking to reset and recharge.

😍 And at UACS, every day gives you new inspiration, practical experience, and the freedom to grow into who you want to become.

This is Jovana’s story. What will yours look like?

The School of Foreign Languages at University American College Skopje hosted the 8th International Conference of the Word and Music Association Forum (WMAF), titled “Sacrum et Profanum in Words and Music”, from May 21–23, 2026.

The conference brought together around thirty scholars from Poland, Germany, Italy, Spain, North Macedonia, the United States, Türkiye, the Netherlands, Hungary, Finland, the UK, and Ukraine, creating a vibrant interdisciplinary dialogue on the relationships between sacred and profane dimensions in word and music studies.

Over the course of two days followed by a cultural trip to Ohrid, participants explored a broad range of topics, including the sacred and the profane in literature and music, ritual and performance, mythology and mysticism, secularization, political and cultural crises, and the transformations of spirituality in contemporary societies. Through presentations, discussions, and exchanges of ideas, the conference continued the WMAF mission of fostering an open and collaborative environment for both emerging and established scholars working in the field of word and music studies.

The conference was organized by Ivana Trajanoska and Jan Czarnecki, presidents of the WMAF.

The official conference poster was designed by Martina Savin, a student at the School of Architecture and Design at UACS.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants, presenters, students, and colleagues whose contributions, enthusiasm, and interdisciplinary perspectives made the conference a memorable and inspiring academic event, further strengthening international collaboration in the field of word and music studies.

Connecting classroom learning with real-world European diplomacy 🇪🇺🎓

On 20 May 2026, students from the University American College Skopje (UACS) visited Europe House Skopje and Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia as part of their academic learning within the courses International Organizations, EU Law, and Institutions and Governance with prof. Marina Andeva, Ph.D from the School of Political Science.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the work of the EU Delegation in North Macedonia, the EU accession process, sector policies, and EU assistance and cooperation initiatives in the country through presentations and interactive discussion with Ben Nupnau, Deputy Head of Delegation; Martin Schroeder, Deputy Head of Political Section; and Steffen Hudolin, Head of Operations.

This study visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to connect theoretical knowledge from the classroom with institutional practice, diplomacy, and contemporary EU governance in action.

UACS remains committed to creating meaningful experiential learning opportunities that bring students closer to institutions, policymakers, and real-world policy processes.

🇪🇸🎓 Today, UACS had the honor of welcoming H.E. Rafael Soriano Ortiz, Ambassador of Spain to N. Macedonia, as part of our Ambassadors Month 2026!

Ambassador Soriano Ortiz delivered a fascinating lecture on 40 Years of Spain in the European Union — tracing Spain's remarkable European journey through 40 key indicators that highlight the country's transformation and growth as an EU member state.

For students pursuing careers in diplomacy, law, business, and international relations, this was an inspiring glimpse into what European integration truly looks like in practice. 🌍

Thank you, Ambassador, for sharing your knowledge and vision with our community!
