Weโ€™re happy to share that AHSS graduate and IB Diploma Programme student Andrej Toshevski will be continuing his studies at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in Austria.

After completing his IB DP at AHSS, Andrej is taking the next step in his education and beginning a new chapter abroad.

Another AHSS graduate is packing their bags! Weโ€™re happy to announce that AHSS graduate Bojana Slavkoska has been accepted to the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where she will study Physics Engineering at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Weโ€™re especially excited to see her take on such an interesting and challenging field, and we know sheโ€™ll bring the same curiosity and determination with her to Budapest.

We are incredibly happy to share that AHSS student Borjan Kitanovski has been awarded a basketball scholarship at McLennan Community College in Texas, USA.

Borjan spent the last two years of high school in the United States, continuing to grow both as a student and as a basketball player. His time at American High School Skopje was an important part of that journey, and we are proud to see where it has taken him.

Behind this opportunity are years of hard work, practices, games, studying, and staying committed to both school and basketball. Now, Borjan is ready to take the next step and continue his education and basketball career in the USA.

From Shortlisted to London: Bisera Is Invited to the John Locke Institute Ceremony!

We are very happy to share a wonderful update about our student Bisera Drndar.
After being shortlisted in two categories, โ€œHistoryโ€ and โ€œScience & Technology,โ€ in the John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize 2026, Bisera has now been officially invited to attend the academic event and certificate ceremony in London this October. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

This year, 100,227 students from 183 countries took part in the competition. Being shortlisted in two different categories is an exceptional achievement and a great honour for Bisera, as well as for our school and our country.

Bisera is also a full-tuition scholarship recipient at American High School Skopje, and we are very proud to support her as she continues to pursue her interests and challenge herself academically.

We are looking forward to seeing her in London this October, representing North Macedonia and sharing this special moment with students and academics from around the world. ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฐ

๐ŸŽ‰ Outstanding News from AHSS! ๐ŸŽ‰

We are thrilled to share that our student, Bisera Drndar, has been shortlisted in the prestigious John Locke Institute Global Essay Prize 2026 with not one, but two essays, one in History and one in Science & Technology!

This year's competition attracted more than 100,000 participants from 183 countries, making Bisera's achievement truly exceptional. As part of the selection process, she also completed interviews for both essays, where she defended her arguments before the judges, as well as an English language assessment.

Her essays have now advanced to the final stage of judging, where they will compete for Commendations, High Commendations, Category Winner awards, and the Overall Grand Prize.

Congratulations, Bisera! Your curiosity, hard work, and commitment to academic excellence have already earned you a place among the world's top young writers. We are incredibly proud of you and wish you the very best of luck as we await the final results in October! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ€
