IBU STUDENTS VISITED THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL PLANNING OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

Fourth year students at the study programme of Management in Public Administration at IBU, on Wednesday (09.10.2013) visited the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning of the Republic of Macedonia.

This study visit is realized within the exercise hours of the course Public Finance. The high level representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning explained to the students the Macedonian environmental issues and solutions to current environment challenges. More specifically, students showed interst for topics such are: Macedonian Governement’s approach to the environmental pollution and the pollution taxes and tradable permits.

The students group was guided by their professor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Bilall Kasami.

160 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2013/2014
The International Balkan University in Skopje is offering 160 Scholarships for the academic year 2013/2014.

Scholarships include full coverage of the tuition fee and are dedicated for students who will enroll
in the first cycle (undergraduate) studies.

Examinations in English Proficiency and IQ will be held on 1 June 2013 and 15 June 2013 at 10:00 h
in IBU Avtokomanda (address: Tashko Karadza 11A, 1000 Skopje).

IBU IS THE BEST PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN MACEDONIA
ACCORDING TO SHANGHAI UNIVERSITY RANK LIST..
Based on the published results of the ranking of universities in Macedonia by Jiao Tong University of China, the International Balkan University holds the sixth place of a total of 19 universities and higher education institutions in the country, while among private universities it holds the first place.

The success of the International Balkan University lies on the painstaking work of the management of the University for providing competent instructions to students, but it is also based on a distinctive model that operates this University.

Namely, IBU is non-profitable foundation University, one of its kind in Macedonia and it is financed by donations from business people from Turkey. About 80% of students are in scholarship at the International Balkan University. Simultaneously, the IBU is the only university in Macedonia in which teaching takes place exclusively in English. On the other hand, the scientific background of the lecturers, and the high number of foreign students (50% of the students come from Turkey, Albania, Monte Negro, Serbia and Kosovo) contribute our University to have this outstanding position and to establish itself as an institution which guarantees quality education and future career to its students.

This result is an additional incentive for the management, lecturers and administration of the University to focus even more on the goals - providing high quality instruction for students and fostering and developing multiculturalism in the Balkans.
