On invitation of Здружение СОЛЕМ / Association SOLEM, a small group of students of International School Maximilian took active participation in the project for deinstituonalisation of the residents of Demir Kapija Institution.

Throughout art workshops, children had the opportunity to understand the be benefits of living in a community vis a vis living in an institution. 🎨

As a school that offers the IB Primary Years Programme, this activity was one of the many we completed during the .

Day care centers are crucial for building strong structure for the children. There, they understand the importance of everyday-learning and how fun it can be.

The purpose of Day Care Center Maximilian is to complement the home and the school of the . By doing this, we make it easier for parents to organize their time and for children to get the adequate support they need for studying.

Our center is welcoming school age children from 6 to 11 years old. The students work in small groups (from 4 to 6 children per group) with a supervisor.

Our program is focusing on four areas:

➡️ Learning English,
➡️ Book reading and
➡️ Fun interactive activities

• temperature check upon arrival and after finishing with classes;
• highest level of hygiene of the school premises;
• the school has a developed online studying platform and lessons can be immediately taken online when needed.

🍂September means back to school... but not for all children.

For most students, this prolonged period out of the classroom was completely unprecedented. But for too many others, many of those who have a disability, the absence of a classroom environment is an everyday reality.

With COVID-19 highlighting the continued segregation of people with disabilities in education settings, the IE+ partnership have released their policy recommendations for inclusive education 👩‍🏫

8 Септември – Ден на независноста на Република Северна Македонија
Република Северна Македонија денеска одбележува 29 години од успешно спроведениот референдум на кој македонските граѓани се изјаснија за самостојна и суверена држава.

Со убедливо мнозинство, над 95 отсто од граѓаните што излегоа на референдумот на 8 септември 1991 година позитивно одговорија на референдумско прашање „Дали сте за самостојна Македонија со право да стапи во иден сојуз на суверени држави на Југославија“.

На референдумот му претходеше Декларација за независност што првиот повеќепартиски македонски Парламент ја усвои на 25 јануари 1991 година. Формално, волјата на народот за самостојна држава беше потврдена со Декларација за прифаќање на референдумските резултати на 18 септември 1991 во Собранието на Република Македонија.

Следен важен чекор во зацврстувањето на државата беше усвојувањето на новиот Устав на 17 ноември 1991 година. Меѓународно ­правниот субјективитет на државата дефинитивно беше потврден на 8 април 1993 година кога со акламација во Генералното собрание на Обединетите нации, Македонија беше примена за 181. полноправна членка на светската организација.
