Curating in Context Summer School

From this year the school is an integral part of the Open Course "Curatorial Practice in Context" at the Stockholm University of the Arts. The course, consists several parts:
1) Summer school "Curating in context" intensive course with lectures, discussions, presentations on the local scene, workshops, visits to local initiatives in Struga; 2) Composting, (online), seminars on reading, writing and group discussions 3) Ethics and policies of production, (online), lectures and discussions on topics related to politics, cultural policy, organization, representation or how to produce, represent and initiate different models for presenting and articulating art in specific contexts 4) Development of a curatorial project, a period for self-reflection and reflection. For this course, each student will receive 7.5 credits.
At the "school", various curatorial practices based on (international) collaboration will be discussed, reflected, theorized and practically reviewed, which go beyond the disciplinary understanding of artistic production, and offer new models of dissemination outside the established practice of presentation in black or white box and representational politics.
Меѓународната летна школа „Курирање во контекст, од оваа година е интегрален дел од Отворениот курс „Кураторски пракси во контекст“ на Стокхолмската академија на уметности.
Отворениот курс „Кураторски пракси во контекст“ се состои од неколку делови, и тоа:
1) Летна школа „Курирање во контекст“ интензивен курс со предавања, дискусии, претставување на локалната сцена, работилници, посети на локални иницијативи итн. во Струга; 2) Компостирање (онлајн), семинари на читање, пишување и групни дискусии 3) Етика и политики на продукција (онлајн), -предавања, и дискусии на теми поврзани со политика, културни политики, организација, застапување или како да се произведуваат, застапуваат и иницираат различни модели за презентирање и артикулирање на уметноста во специфични контексти 4) Развој на кураторски проект - период за саморефлексија и промислување. За овој курс секој од студентите ќе добие 7.5 ект.
програмата нуди критичка перспектива преку која се про(раз)мислуваат кураторските практики во современите (изведбени) уметности во различни културни, социо-политички и економски контексти, а кои се активистички, самоорганизирани и плурални.
На „школата“ ќе се дискутира, рефлектира, теоретизира и практично ќе се прегледуваат различните кураторски практики засновани на (меѓународна) соработка, кои се надвор од дисциплинското разбирање на уметничката продукција, и кои нудат нови модели на дисеминација вон воспоставената пракса на презентацијата во црната или белата кутија и политиките на репрезенација.

👉 Danae Theorodiadu, a PhD in Dramaturgy of Contemporary Theatre and Dance, held a workshop with a focus on curation of live events.
