Yesterday we read “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” with our book club students. Students then created their own weather forecasts for the town of “Chewandswallow” including a tornado of durums, raining watermelon juice, and a tsunami of chocolate.

Yesterday we explored how point of view can change a story by reading “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs” together with students at Zhivko Brajkovski elementary school. It left us with the question: was the wolf truly a villain?

We had a busy week creating films, practicing English, and making new friends. Thank you to South Eastern European University, our amazing volunteers, and our enthusiastic students for an incredible week of English film camp! Would you rather be a superhero or a supervillain? We had a wonderful book club with 6th grade students at Zhivko Brajkovski elementary school in partnership with English teachers from the school.

We had the best time today at Zhivko Brajkovski Elementary School in Butel! We read “A Bad Case of Stripes” and talked about the things that make each of us unique. Students shared the foods, hobbies, and sports that they love and we discussed the importance of embracing our own unique interests without fear of the opinions of others.
Our STEM club students built and programmed their own pianos this week!
