🎉✨ Happy New Year from the YouWell Team! 🎉✨

As we welcome 2024, there’s no better way to celebrate than by reflecting on the incredible milestones we’ve achieved together in the YouWell project! 🌟 This year, we’ve taken huge steps in supporting novice teachers through mentoring and coaching, and we’re proud to share some of our key results:

📚 Teacher Mentor-Coach Handbook: A comprehensive guide that equips experienced teachers with the tools to mentor and coach their novice colleagues. A resource built on collaboration, research, and real-world validation.

📖 Resource Guide for Novice Teachers: A self-training manual designed to empower new teachers as they navigate the challenges of the profession, fostering confidence and resilience.

🛠️ Competence Model for Mentors and Mentees: Developed through in-depth research, interviews, and focus groups across Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Slovenia to ensure relevance and quality.

🎓 Training Program for Teacher Mentor-Coaches: Combining online learning, intensive workshops, and hands-on practice, this program certifies experienced teachers to pass on their expertise to the next generation.

🌟 Conclusion of the YouWell Project in Celje Youth Centre! 🌟
On November 25 our partners from Slovenia, the Mcc Celjski Mladinski Center organised a multiplier event with the purpose to highlight the project results and activities dedicated to supporting and empowering new teachers. The event featured a rich and engaging program: we shared a presentation of the project in which the MCC team proudly showcased two valuable resources developed during the project:
📘 Handbook for mentors
📘 Resource guide for self-learning of novice teachers

🌟Mcc Celjski Mladinski Center invited some of the teachers that participated in the YouWell project as mentors and mentees - Barbara Kvas, Jasna Germek, and Natalija Anders. They offered an 🙌insightful reflection on the mentorship process, showcasing the transformative impact of this relationship for both mentors and mentees.

👏In the next session, Simona Šarlah, Teacher of the Year 2024 from Primary School Vojnik, joining the event online. She shared many tips and tricks from her own experience, focused on the topic of building motivation of young teachers and gave an inspiring lecture on teaching in today’s world with all of the challenges and opportunities that come with it.

🤩The event concluded with networking, lively discussions, and a chance to exchange ideas over refreshments.

The teachers-mentors, teachers-mentees, coordinators and partners in the YouWell - Novice Teachers Mentoring and Coaching Support gathering this week in the beautiful Skopje for evaluation workshop of the amazing journey which started 2 years ago with the shared dream: to support the novice teachers in Bulgaria 🇧🇬, North Macedonia 🇲🇰, and Slovenia 🇸🇮 to feel motivated to remain in the profession! Insights, lessons learned and friendships confirmed, this is what it is when you truly dedicate to what you do!🌟
