Notices for Silk Road Program of Hunan University 🚨🚨🚨

1. Majors Offered
The Scholarship of CSC for Silk Road Program is oriented to the
students from 10 countries jointly building the Belt and Road as Vietnam,
Laos, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Yemen, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Russia,
Tanzania, Madagascar. The majors taught both in English and Chinese
offered are as follows,
--Applied Economics (Master or Ph.D)
--Theoretical Economics (Master or Ph.D)
2. Scholarship Coverage
a. Tuition fee.
b. Free university dormitory.
c. Stipend:
Master’s students/general scholars: CNY 3,000 per month;
Doctoral students/senior scholars: CNY 3,500 per month;
d. Comprehensive Medical Insurance:
CNY 800 per person per year.
3. Eligibility
a. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health both
mentally and physically.
b. Applicants should be an academically excellent holder of a
Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent under the age of 35 when applying for a
Master’s program.
c. Applicants should be an academically excellent holder of a Master’s
degree or its equivalent under the age of 40 when applying for a doctoral
program.
d. Applicants should have passed the HSK (Level 4) or above when
applying for a Chinese-taught postgraduate program.
e. Applicants should submit English learning transcripts with
recognition of Hunan University such as IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 or others.
f. Applicant should also meet the admission requirements of Hunan
University in terms of language proficiency, academic ability and other
relevant aspects.
4. Application Process
a. Applicants shall learn about Hunan University by visiting websites
( https://www.hnu.edu.cn/ ) and learn about the majors offered by Hunan
University by visiting websites ( http://www.campuschina.org ).
b. Applicants should visit “CSC Study in China” website
( http://www.campuschina.org ), click “Scholarship Application for Students”,
register an account through “Create An Account” and log in with your
account.
c. Applicants should click “Edit Personal Details” to input personal
details and fill in the application information (please select Program
Category “Type B” and input the Agency Number “10532”).
d. Applicants should upload “Supporting Documents” as requested,
then click “Submit” to complete the application.
e. Hunan University will recommend some outstanding applicants to
the CSC.
f. CSC will make the final decision.
g. Hunan University will inform the applicants who finally get admitted
with the Scholarship by email or by phone.
h. Hunan University will collect the information including contact
person, detailed post address, contact number etc from the applicants by
email for delivering the admission documents.
5. Application Documents
The applicants must fill in the form and provide the following
documents truly, correctly and completely.
a. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship （filled in
Chinese or English）: The website of “CSC Study in China”, also called as
Online Application System, is http://www.campuschina.org , Program
Category is “Type B” ， Hunan University Agency Number is 10532.
Applicants should fill in the application form, submit it online and print it.
b. Passport copy. The period of validity of your passport should be
expired after September of 2026.
c. Highest diploma (notarized photocopy): Prospective diploma
winners must submit official proof of student status by the current school.
Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached
with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
d. Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy): The transcripts should
be offered from the undergraduate program onwards. The transcripts
should be issued and sealed by the academic affairs office, graduate school,
or student management department of the attending university. The copies
of transcripts from the first to the last semester during the undergraduate,
graduate (if any) and doctoral programs (if any) should be offered.
Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached
with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
e. Language Requirements
For Chinese-taught Programs:
-- Certificate of HSK 4 or above
For English-taught Programs:
--English as mother Tongue and submit the proof;
--English learning transcripts with recognition of Hunan University
such as IELTS 6.0 Or TOEFL 80 or others;
f. A study plan: All applicants are required to submit a study or
research plan no less than 1000 words and must be in Chinese or in English.
For doctoral programs, the study plan of applicants should be approved
and signed by the supervisor.
g. Recommendation letters: Applicants for postgraduate studies, or
study in China as senior scholars must submit two letters of
recommendation only in Chinese or English from professors or associate
professors mainly including the goals of applicants studying in China, the
evaluations of the comprehensive ability and future development of
applicants, and the introduction of communication between the supervisor
in Hunan University and the supervisor issuing the recommendation letter
or between two universities.
h. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original
form should be kept by the applicant): The form printed by Chinese
quarantine authority could be downloaded from http://www.csc.edu.cn
The form should be filled in English. The medical examinations must cover
all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the
official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are
invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take medical examination as it
is valid for only 6 months.
i. Non-criminal Record: The paper should be issued by the local public
security authority within 6 months prior to the application submission date.
6. Notes
1. Once the documents you submit are found to be false or fake, your
application or your admission will be canceled immediately.
2. The applicant granted a CSC scholarship is not allowed to
simultaneously take another scholarship sponsored by the local
government at all levels, the universities or other authorities of China.
Once the cheat is found, the CSC scholarship of the applicant will be
canceled immediately and the stipends already received by the applicant
must be returned. The applicant who deliberately hides the fact is also not
allowed to apply CSC scholarship again in the next three years.
