Agent: TD3 (Twin Delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient) to reduce overestimation bias.
Architecture: Customized neural network for the actor/critic.
Output Layer: Integrated a tanh (Hyperbolic Tangent) activation function at the final layer to bound the control actions efficiently.
Environment: High-fidelity Simulink model featuring a 3-phase inverter and induction machine.
The results show excellent convergence and robust tracking of the speed setpoint!

As part of my research in energy engineering, I have designed and modeled a high-performance heating system for multi-unit residential buildings, incorporating advanced hybrid photovoltaic-thermal (PV/T) solar cell technology.
🎯 System Specificity: A 2-in-1 Function
This system goes beyond conventional photovoltaic electricity generation. Its key innovation lies in its dual simultaneous function:
Function 1 – Electrical generation: PV cells convert solar radiation into electricity, stored in batteries to power a circulation pump and other devices.
Function 2 – Thermal recovery: The residual heat emitted by the photovoltaic panels — usually wasted — is captured and reused through an integrated heat exchanger to heat domestic water and indoor air.
🔁 Waste Heat Valorization
The originality lies in the synergy between electrical production and thermal recovery: the solar panel becomes a dual-function active collector, generating both electricity and usable heat. This significantly increases the overall system efficiency and minimizes energy losses.
💧 Operation
The electricity generated powers a pump that circulates hot water through a network of heat exchangers. The heated water is either stored for later use or directly used for space heating via radiators or underfloor heating.
🌡️ Smart Regulation
A PID controller adjusts flow and temperature in real time to maintain a stable setpoint, regardless of outdoor climate variations.
The entire system was modeled and simulated using Simscape (MATLAB/Simulink) , enabling detailed analysis of thermal and electrical performance, dynamic behavior of heat exchangers, and overall system efficiency.
