🌍✨ As part of our ANSO ViFoodFree NET project, an initiative focused on the integrated monitoring and control of viral and bacterial contamination in the food chain, our colleague Nadja Raicevic had the great opportunity to participate in a study visit to Universidad del Bío-Bío, Faculty of Health and Food Sciences in Chile, hosted by Dr. Julio Parra Flores, Principal Latin American Investigator and academic at the Department of Public Health. In addition to Montenegro and Chile, the project brings together researchers and institutions from Serbia, Austria, and China.
This visit was focused on knowledge exchange, international cooperation, and strengthening scientific collaboration in the field of food science and health.
During the stay, two lectures were delivered to PhD students and healthcare professionals on:
🧫 the role of microorganisms in food and human health
🧬 modern genomic approaches and methods used in contemporary food and microbiological research
Through inspiring discussions, project activities, and sharing of experiences, this visit marked an important step toward future joint initiatives and long-term collaboration.
