U jesen 1995. godine prevremeno su se rodile dve devojčice, bliznakinje, teške samo 2 kilograma. Briel i Kajri Džekson svojih prvih nekoliko nedelja života provele su u posebnim inkubatorima boreći se za život.
Kajri je bila jača bliznakinja, napredovala je i bila je za 1,3 kg teža, dok se Briel borila da preživi. U jednom trenutku Brielino disanje postalo je plitko, a otkucaji srca su drastično opali.
Lekari su činili sve što su mogli, ali prosto ništa nije uspevalo. Pre nego što je bilo kasno jedna sestra se brzo setila i predložila da se bebe stave zajedno u jedan inkubator. Ovako nešto nikada ranije nisu radili u SAD-u, ali dogodilo se nešto neverovatno.
Čim su Kajli stavili pored njene sestre, ona je pružila ruku i zagrlila Briel. Iznenada Brielini otkucaji srca su se stabilizovali i temperatura se vratila u normalu. Fotoreporter koji se tu našao u bolnici zabeležio je ovaj čudesni trenutak. Kao rezultat sestrinskog zagrljaja otkrivena je snaga dodira i beba koja je umirala je bila spašena. Ta fotografija je postala poznata širom sveta kao "Zagrljaj spašenja".
