Hajde Kids

Today was really all about the snakes 🐍. Another awesome day spent at Gorica, where Lazar and his team went all out to entertain us with zip lining, rock climbing and slides! But the highlight of the day was the snake guy with a Pygmy boa and one of her babies and a corn snake, all three very tame and used to being handled. We all had a turn to have the boa on our necks and the corn snake loved to slither up T-shirts. It was educational but interactive and fun and we look forward to more!

This past Tuesday we had to dig out some winter wear for our exciting trip to Lipa Caves just outside Cetinje. We first had to stand at the entrance to the cave to get used to the cold and then the descent to deep under the earth started. Massive stalactites and stalagmites astonished us and some formations have names like the Castle, The Crocodile and Popcorn. The cave is flooded in the rainy season so we felt lucky to have seen it when it’s not under water. And the break from the heat was very cool 😁!

Beautiful day spent at Niagara yesterday, the colour of the water is amazing and the kids had a blast! A pity the waterfall was dried up but a lovely day was had by all!

It’s amazing how kids can be creative and inventive with the most simple materials. It was all about recycling today at QSI where we had a blast creating rock art, fabric belts, pet rocks, bug houses and many, many paintings. A ticket clipper inspired an entire theatrical production, one moment we were in the school cafeteria and the next we were on a train to Penzance, with menus, (play) food, manicures and massages and even a safari to enjoy. We don’t know who enjoyed it more, the children or the leaders! 😁😁😁

Who doesn’t love a day at the seaside? Off to Sutomore beach we went with the train for some sun, sea and games. We spent some time looking for crabs and small fish in the rock pools and then had diving competitions and more games. Luckily we had some umbrellas for shade and the cool water of the Adriatic Sea to cool us off. Lunch was at a lovely small restaurant and then we went back on the train to get to Podgorica in the afternoon. All of us made use of that time for a little nap, lulled by the sound of the train’s wheels on the tracks 🚞🏖🏖🏖

Today was spent at Gorica Hill and we were hosted by Lazar and his team from Explorer. We had an incredible time high above the trees on the different zip lines and then had to conquer our fear and climb the rock wall. Luckily there was a lot of shade as it was very hot outside, plenty of water and fruit kept us cool!! Then we had to camouflage ourselves with war paint, fight some running battles and we ended the day looking for treasure. Yet again, another fantastic day was had by all!!

Voted best day so far by all! Today’s trip to Lake Skadar was an incredible experience. We left the old town of Virpazar in a pleasant spacious boat and drifted down one of the many channels until we came to open water and breathtaking views over mountain, lakes and pelicans. Good old fashioned fun was had by all while swinging off a jetty with a rope. Lots of squelchy mud between our toes, we went back again and again to plunge into the cold water of the Lake. Ended the day with lunch on a proper boat moored at the docks. Unforgettable day!

We had the pleasure to craft with such intelligent, fun and creative children today! We decorated functional items and made art with recycled and natural materials! Such gorgeous insect hotels, book covers, stationery organisers and little bags!

What a brilliant day today hosted by SKK Kadina. Marija was incredible with the kids and the food was delicious. They had an opportunity to learn about horses, help groom and ride them and even got to meet the new foal on the farm! The highlight of the day was definitely the horse rides and ending off with some water fights to cool off 😁

First day was a success, kids all had a blast in the water 😁
