📚We were greatly honored to welcome the parents of one of our students yesterday — wonderful people who not only devotedly care for their child but are also socially engaged and active in the noblest sense of the word.

From their own personal experience, they created weandkamkam.com, a platform that supports those affected by child abuse and helps others learn how to recognize and respond to it — with empathy, education, and open dialogue.

Our students also had the special opportunity to hear children’s books read aloud by their author, Drew — one of the parents. His stories, both fun and educational, explore important topics such as emotions, self-confidence, and understanding ourselves and others.

🔍 Sharing the Planet: Our students imagine smart and sustainable cities! 🌍🏙️

As part of the “Sharing the Planet” unit of inquiry, our students explored big questions about the future they want to build. One key question guided their thinking: What does a smart and sustainable city look like?

Inspired by real-world environmental challenges and solutions, they designed their own versions of a Smart Sustainable City, thinking critically about eco-friendly technology, recycling systems, renewable energy, and the importance of green spaces.

Our younger students contributed by working on their own UOI focus on materials – learning how to classify different types of waste such as paper, plastic, metal, glass, and organic matter, which helped them understand sustainability through everyday actions.

Together, we’re learning how to share the planet responsibly, mindfully, and creatively. Well done to all our young eco-visionaries! 🌱💡🌇

🤝Today, we had the honor of hosting talented young minds from the robotics club “Bip Tech” from Podgorica! These kids, who are among the best in Montenegro, demonstrated incredible passion and skills in the field of robotics.

Robotics is crucial for the 21st century, not only for technological advancement but also for the development of skills and creativity in children. We believe it is of utmost importance for not just children, but all of us, to continue educating ourselves about the importance and potential of robotics.

We have big plans with this club that we want to continue developing, and we will inform you about all the details soon.

We thank the “Bip Tech” club for their inspiring visit and look forward to future collaborations and shared learning!

Earth Day 🌍, celebrated on April 22, inspired us to dedicate this entire week to caring for our environment — beautifully aligned with our UOI “Sharing the Planet” 🌱.
We explored nature through various activities 🍃, learned how to protect it ♻️, and ended the week on a high note: planting flowers 🌸 with our wonderful neighbors, the gardeners from Portonovi Resort 🧑‍🌾.

🌸Every year, we celebrate the arrival of spring with our traditional BSI Spring Festival. This year’s festival is all about community, care, and the importance of sharing the joy around us. 🌼

Our students learn that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. That’s why we began the first week of spring by greeting our neighbors and thanking them for their kindness and ongoing support. Despite the rain during this week, we wanted to brighten the day by sharing colorful flower baskets, adding a burst of color and scent that symbolized this beautiful season. 🌷

📚Celebrating World Read Aloud Day 📖✨

Today, our students marked World Read Aloud Day with a special visit to the City Library of Herceg Novi! With the warm hospitality of the library staff, we explored their wonderful collection, read aloud together, and even became new library members. To make the day even more exciting, we traveled using public transportation, perfectly connecting our experience with our Unit of Inquiry: Transportation.

This was a truly fun and educational adventure for our students—combining reading, exploration, and real-world learning! A big thank to the City Library for welcoming us so kindly!
