PreSchool at Adriatic College is now available in English too 🌍

We are opening enrolment for a new English-speaking PreSchool group!

The programme is a great fit for:

✅ children speak English
✅ families choosing an international educational pathway
✅ parents who want to immerse their child in an English-speaking environment from an early age and make the transition to further education in English more natural

📅 Classes start on 1 October*
💶 Tuition fee — €550
*The group will open once at least 8 students are enrolled.

PreSchool gives children the opportunity to gradually get used to the school environment: attending classes, interacting with teachers and other children, and preparing for the next stage of education in a comfortable setting.

Pearson Edexcel at Adriatic College is an international education programme based on the British education system.

The learning pathway begins with Pearson Edexcel iPrimary in primary school and continues through iLowerSecondary and International GCSE (Upper Secondary).

Adriatic College is an accredited Pearson Edexcel centre. 👌🏻

One of the key features of the Pearson programme is the continuity of the learning pathway.

Students progress through several stages, from Pearson iPrimary in primary school to iLowerSecondary and Upper Secondary.

At the end of Upper Secondary, students take the external International GCSE examinations. After that, they can continue their studies at Adriatic College with the IB Diploma Programme.

The main language of instruction in the Pearson programme is English.

All teaching materials and classroom instruction are in English.

To enter the secondary school programme, students need to have a certain level of English proficiency:

* PreSecondary — A2
* iLowerSecondary 1 — A2+
* iLowerSecondary 2 — B1
* iLowerSecondary 3 — B1/B1+
* Upper Secondary 1 — B1+
* Upper Secondary 2 — B2

The required level depends on the grade the student is applying for.

Pearson Edexcel iPrimary focuses not only on acquiring knowledge, but also on understanding the material being studied.

From primary school, students learn to analyse, ask questions, find solutions, and work both independently and as part of a team.

The programme includes:

• English
• Mathematics
• Science
• Performing Arts
• Art
• PE

Special attention is also given to literacy and reading in the student’s native language. This course is offered outside the core programme and is compulsory when a group is available. A group is formed with a minimum of 5 students.

At the iLowerSecondary and Upper Secondary stages, students continue studying core academic subjects in English.

The programme includes:

• English
• Maths
• Science: Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• Computing
• Global Citizenship
• Foreign Language — German / Spanish
• Art
• PE
• Native Language, Literature & Essay Club
• Science Inquiry

In the upper grades, the programme may also include Geography and Psychology.

Dear friends, students, parents, and colleagues!

Tomorrow is a special day for the entire local community — the Independence Day of Montenegro 🇲🇪!

This is not just an official date on the calendar, but one of the most important celebrations of national identity and a day of pride for this beautiful country.

The people of Montenegro possess a remarkable gift. They carry deep-rooted traditions, a rich history, and a strong sense of identity, while at the same time remaining open to the world. Montenegro is known for embracing new ideas, striving toward a European future, yet never losing its authenticity.

At our school, we aim to preserve this same balance: to provide children with a modern international education, inspire them to make bold discoveries, while also teaching respect for the roots, culture, and values of the country in which we live.

Montenegro proves that it is possible to be modern while staying true to yourself. And that is truly inspiring.

Happy Independence Day!
Srećan Dan nezavisnosti! 🇲🇪

Good afternoon! IB DP Coordinator Ekaterina Anokhina here 👋🏻, and I’m coming to you with wonderful news!

Adriatic College has successfully passed the IB Diploma Programme evaluation, which lasted almost a year and included three stages:

✅ The first two stages were conducted remotely and required the preparation of a large number of documents — programmes, descriptions of teaching practices, internal policies, reports, and materials related to the school’s work.

✅ The third stage was a visit from two IB representatives to Adriatic College.

During the evaluation, the IB inspectors:

✔️ visited lessons
✔️ met with teachers and coordinators
✔️ spoke with students and parents
✔️ observed how the school operates in everyday life

As a result of the evaluation, the school confirmed its compliance with the international standards of the IB Diploma Programme 👍🏻

The report specifically highlighted:

✅ a strong and highly engaged teaching team
✅ support for student well-being
✅ a warm and respectful school atmosphere
✅ a wide subject choice even with small class sizes
✅ strong student involvement in the CAS programme

This kind of evaluation is not only an assessment of current work, but also an opportunity for growth 🔝

We received valuable recommendations for the further development of the programme and school processes, and this is an important part of the journey of every IB World School.

Thank you to our team, students, and parents for your trust and daily collaboration ✨!

🏔️ PreSecondary Trip to Kolašin

Two PreSecondary Pearson classes went on a short but incredibly eventful trip to Kolašin 😄

Hiking along mountain trails, intellectual games, sports activities, team-building challenges, and spending a night away from home — sounds like the kind of class trip every teenager dreams about 😄

The students were accompanied by their class teachers and our school psychologist, who helped the children support one another, communicate, face new challenges, and simply grow stronger as a team 🫂

Swipe through the carousel — all the atmosphere is there 💛
