Moldova Digital Summit is one of the most important regional events dedicated to digital transformation and technological innovations.
Moldova Digital Summit is the leading industry event aimed to gather all industry stakeholders, including government, business, multinationals, professionals and academia, to discuss trends and challenges facing the ICT industry globally and in the country, and define the roadmap for development and effective integration of technology, as well as the agenda for growing ICT sector competitiveness.
Moldova Digital Summit was launched in 2010 by ATIC, in partnership with the then Ministry of ICT of Moldova, laying the foundation for what has become the country’s public-private dialogue platform on , business growth, and Moldova’s international positioning as an ICT destination.
Over the past two decades, ATIC has designed and implemented some of the ecosystem’s most important initiatives: from education and human capital development programs to startup support, business growth platforms, and advocacy efforts that contributed to a more predictable, relevant, and enabling legal and policy framework for the ICT industry.
Today, with Agenția de Guvernare Electronică, Moldova Innovation Technology Park, and Tekwill part of the organizing team, MDS continues to grow as a platform built by the ecosystem, for the ecosystem.
At , Eugeniu Galamaga, ATIC President and Regional Director at Allied Testing, reflected on ATIC’s role in shaping Moldova’s digital ecosystem: from helping establish Tekwill and Startup Moldova, to supporting the AI & BIG Data Conference and guiding the evolution from the early Moldova ICT Summit to the Moldova Digital Summit we know today.
His message is clear: ATIC is a capable network of knowledge and expertise, ready to partner with public authorities, local companies, foreign investors, and everyone choosing to build IT business in Moldova.

His message is clear: building trustworthy AI requires more than technological progress.
It requires understanding how AI affects human behavior across business, communities, social environments, governments, institutions, and education.

Moldova is building the friendliest digital state.
At , Nicoleta Colomeet, Director of the Moldovan eGovernance Agency, shared the ambition behind Moldova’s next stage of digital transformation: a state designed for people, where public services are proactive enough that citizens are asked only to validate or confirm, instead of repeatedly submitting information the state already has.
The vision is guided by four principles: digital by default, once only, interoperability as the norm, and a single point of access through the EVO app.
With the launch of the new EVO version – EVO 2.0 – and its digital identity wallet aligned with European standards, Moldova is moving toward fewer requests, fewer in-person visits, and public services that work in the background for citizens and businesses.
A 100% digital state means making life simpler, faster, and more predictable for the people.

The European Digital Identity Wallet framework was up and running in a live, cross-border environment. Not a polished simulation, but a real stress-test – and that made all the difference.

Before diving into the technical grit, the arena opened with a dedicated live demo session that provided the initial context before the teams moved on to the actual implementation work. Afterwards, it was time to look under the hood.
⚙️ The focus was clear: issuance and verification of PID and mDL credentials, alongside proximity presentation and selective disclosure flows. Teams simultaneously played the roles of Wallet Providers, Issuers, and Verifiers – and the scenarios didn't always go smoothly. They weren't supposed to. When something failed, that was the signal to investigate, adjust, and retest.
The EUDI framework spans multiple standards and protocol versions, and mismatches between different national implementations are real and expected. Finding them is the goal. The primary objective was never a perfect score – it was to surface the gaps, understand how to resolve them, and bring back hard-won lessons learned. This is how interoperability gets built across borders.
