While our students are enjoying their well deserved summer break, our team stayed around a couple of weeks longer to get ahead on preparations for the next academic year.

We want to make sure we have everything we need to kick off the year for both our returning and our new students.

But it’s not all about the in-class lessons; outdoor learning and experiences are just as important for students' growth. Our team at the British School of Monaco Individual Programme have been planning a year filled with new adventures and outings. This will be particularly supported by The Duke of Edinburgh Award, which we will introduce this Autumn.

We can’t wait to share more with you when we return in September for the start of the new school year.

We all need a Dynamic Duo in our lives ! And luckily we have our very own at the The British School of Monaco Individual Programme.

This is Alex and Junior. Our Year 7 students (very soon to be Year 8). As you can see these two connected right away and have been enjoying each other's company and jokes ever since.

As their friendship has grown, so have they. In fact, quite literally; it’s hard to see them as our youngest students as they meet their teacher’s eye-to-eye and are already taller than a few of their teachers!

It has really been a great joy to all of us to have Junior and Alex with us this year and watch them blossom.

Schools Out for Summer

And that’s a wrap on the School Year 2023 - 2024.

What a Year it has been. During this year 12 new students joined us at The British School of Monaco Individual Programme. We started in September with 12 students and by January we had 24. This wonderful explosion further enhanced the possibilities of friendships and connections in an already closely knit group and we couldn’t have been more excited to see these friendships quickly develop and grow. It’s safe to say that most of our students this year are not only part of the furniture at our centre, but they are equally part of the furniture in each other’s homes. They have truly nourished their friendships that blossomed right from the beginning.
The British School of Monaco Individual Programme does indeed cater to individual students' needs, but as you can see from our smiling students above this does not come at the sacrifice of peer connection, friendship, play and celebration. Quite the contrary - a number of our students cite this as being the most positive social experience of their lives - one even called it a 'blessing'!

We wish you all a wonderful summer and can't wait to see you again in September.

End of Year Celebrations

On Friday June 14th, we gathered together for an Apero to celebrate the end of a wonderfully successful year. We were saying goodbye and congratulations to our graduates - Yasha, Rafi, Tasia and George and, a very well deserved "Well Done!" to all our students at The British School of Monaco Individual Programme.

We cherish these moments when we can all come together as students, parents and teachers and raise a glass to the closing of a really excellent year. It has been so lovely watching our students grow this year, academically, socially, and - most importantly - building strong connections with their fellow learners.
The British School of Monaco Individual Programme is a warm and wholesome place and our lovely, ever-smiling, ever-enthusiastic and ever-passionate students are a key part of this wonderful atmosphere.

Discover the wonders of the cosmos with our resident physicist and astronomer, Dariush. You will learn about our little blue planet and its place within our solar system, our galaxy and the universe. Explore the big bang, and the fundamental forces that create everything - quasars, black holes, eclipses, supernovas and more. A camp that is guaranteed to blow your mind!

Touch Typing Camp

Moving into an ever expanding technological space, communicating to others is done through keyboard interfaces. Being able to type quickly and efficiently is a skill that can save you time. Whether it be to finish an essay or to compose an important email, learn how to manipulate a keyboard to your advantage. This course will literally be at the touch of your fingertips!

French Survival Camp

This course is open to everyone who would like to learn how to describe when something is wrong with them at the doctor or at hospital. Learning will be organised in a fun and engaging way with role play covering various real life situations - from buying groceries at a local shop to helping someone in difficulty.

Or does the idea of giving a presentation bring you out in a cold sweat? This course will help you to find the confidence to express yourself, persuade your listeners, and wow the crowd! Looking at rhetorical strategies, use of voice, and effective body language, this is your opportunity to discover your voice!

Discovering the Great Outdoors Camp

Anyone interested in discovering the Great Outdoors would benefit from this course! Kirsten will be teaching a range of skills, including outdoor navigation, first aid, plant identification, and camping skills through practical activities! By the end of the week you will be more than prepared to take on your chosen adventures safely, and in a manner that respects the natural environment.

Guitar and Songwriting Camp

Whether you are an expert musician or an absolute beginner, this is a workshop for everyone who is interested in words and music. Roddy will teach you how to construct songs, write lyrics, create melodies and invent chord progressions. Hopefully, by the end of the Camp, we will have written some brilliant songs of our own for the final day performance.

Chinese Culture and Language Camp

The discovery of Chinese and the Chinese world can be an enriching and fascinating experience, even for those who do not plan to learn the language long-term. An introduction to Chinese language and culture, focused on calligraphy, language, and cultural practices, offers an engaging gateway to this ancient civilisation. Here are some elements that will be included in this program: Learning the basics of Chinese writing, including the history and evolution of characters, and practicing calligraphy; Gaining foundational skills in Mandarin, including pronunciation, basic vocabulary, and simple conversational phrases; Exploring traditional customs, festivals, and everyday cultural practices to understand the social and cultural fabric of China; Experiencing traditional Chinese music and dance, understanding their roles in cultural expression and celebration; Learning about major Chinese philosophies and religions, such as Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism, and their impact on Chinese society.
