[LEARNING FROM PROFESSIONALS]
๐ Recently, students in the MSc in Luxury Management program welcomed Stefano Grasselli, VP, Brands & Communication โ Boat Division, at Groupe Beneteau, for an insightful guest lecture organized by Professor Filippo Ceragioli.
โช During the session, Stefano shared how Groupe Beneteau has evolved from a volume-driven boatbuilder into a value-driven House of Brands, built around emotion, innovation, sustainability, and customer experience.
Students gained valuable insights into:
โ Brand portfolio strategy and positioning in the accessible premium yachting market
โ The importance of a strong Brand Value Proposition across the entire customer journey
โ The role of branding in driving innovation and differentiation
โ Best practices from PRESTIGE, demonstrating how eco-innovation and mass customization are reshaping the yachting experience
โช By connecting academic concepts with real-world business challenges, sessions like these provide students with a deeper understanding of the luxury and yachting industries while offering direct access to experienced industry leaders.

[MBA MASTERCLASS | ESG and Wealth Management]
๐ Recently, the Monaco MBA classroom has become a space for critical reflection on one of the most complex topics in modern finance: ESG and Wealth Management.
Led by Arnaud Blandin, CEO at Vela Intelligence, this course brings together professionals from around the world to challenge assumptions, question current practices, and develop a more rigorous understanding of sustainability in finance.
Rather than focusing on idealized narratives, the discussion encourages a clear-eyed approach:
โข The role of private banks goes beyond products and labels; it lies in guiding clients through long-term risks, resilience, and capital allocation.
โข ESG is not a promise of outperformance, but a framework for better decision-making and stronger governance.
โข Trust remains the foundation, requiring transparency, consistency, and a move away from superficial reporting.
This ongoing dialogue reflects IUMโs commitment to preparing future leaders to navigate complexity with clarity and responsibility.

[EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING]
๐ Last week, the first edition of "Shaping Luxury Futures: Innovation, Storytelling & Strategic Practice" competition came to a successful conclusion, bringing together students, faculty, founders, entrepreneurs, hospitality leaders, media professionals, and luxury experts from across international markets.
โฆ Conceived and developed by Valentina Cangiano and delivered alongside Dr. Annalisa Tarquini - Poli , Director of the MSc Luxury Management, and Katarzyna Minor, Vice Director, the seminar series was designed to create a more experiential, industry-connected approach to luxury management education.
โฆ Through real case studies and direct engagement with industry leaders, students explored contemporary challenges and opportunities across luxury, hospitality, experiential ecosystems, fashion, storytelling, and brand strategy.
โฆ Throughout the sessions, students were encouraged to think beyond traditional academic frameworks and explore how heritage, innovation, entrepreneurship, cultural relevance, and human connection are shaping the future of luxury industries.
โฆ The final presentations demonstrated not only creativity and strategic thinking, but also the ability of our students to connect academic knowledge with practical industry application.
๐ฏ Special congratulations to all finalist teams and to the winning team, who will now continue their journey through an immersive professional experience during the Monaco Grand Prix with Red Eye Events, gaining firsthand exposure to one of the most prestigious experiential hospitality environments in the world.
We look forward to building on the success of this first edition and continuing to create meaningful opportunities for our students.

[ENTREPRENEURSHIP CLUB]
๐ At the International University of Monaco, learning goes beyond theory.
Student clubs play a key role in this by creating opportunities for students to engage directly with professionals, gain practical insights, and build meaningful connections.
๐ This past month, members of the Entrepreneurship Club had the opportunity to engage with three industry professionals, each offering a different perspective on building and growing in todayโs business environment.
As part of Career Week, we welcomed Thibaut Monfort Micheo, co-founder and former CTO of FlexSea, who provided a transparent, actionable breakdown of early-stage fundraising based on his experience raising over โฌ4.5M.
At AAACS Centre dโAffaires Conseils & Services, Corinne Junod and the rest of the team shared a clear and practical overview of what it takes to set up and develop a company in Monaco, highlighting both opportunities and challenges.
Finally, in collaboration with the Consulting Club, Chris Clavel, Founder & CEO of Baccana Group, offered students insight into the consulting world, from project structures to building an international digital consulting firm.
โฉ These initiatives reflect how student-led activities can complement academic learning by bringing students closer to real industry dynamics.
