-Short Story title : « The Little Prince »
-Date : Saturday, February 25th, 2023
-Objectives : By the end of this session, students will be able to:
1. Identify key points in the story.
2. Organize key points of the story into chronological action categories.
3. Summarize the events of the story in a concise manner.
4. Develop an original narrative in a collaborative manner.
-Procedures :
1. T Introduces or reviews the concept of plot structure using the following terms: introduction (exposition), rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution.
2. T brainstorms with students what generally occurs in each of these sections of a story based on their understanding and write their ideas on the whiteboard. For example:
• Introduction: characters introduced, setting established, prior events acknowledged, etc.
• Climax: protagonist and antagonist struggle, pivotal information revealed, characters put in dangerous or stressful situations, etc.
3. T has students summarize the events of the story « chapter 1 »
4.T divides students into groups of five and have them conduct a Write-Around to develop their own original narratives.
5.T has students apply the plot structure model to the newly-created narratives.
6. T asks students to read their original narratives in front of their friends.

Dear Students,

I am excited to announce that we will be practicing public speaking in our upcoming meeting . Each student will have the opportunity to speak for 3 minutes on a topic of their choice.

Now, for those of you who may be feeling a bit nervous about speaking in front of others, remember that practice makes perfect.

For your speech, choose a topic that you are passionate about. This could be anything from a favorite hobby, to a social or political issue, to a personal experience that has had an impact on your life.

I look forward to hearing all of your speeches at our next meeting. Please send me your scripts in advance so that I can provide any feedback or suggestions.
