Foundation Dar Si Hmad Join us in growing a greener, more resilient future! Support for the creation of income-generating activities to provide a better quality of life.

Foundation Dar Si Hmad is driving local development with a focus on sustainable agriculture, water conservation, and eco-friendly farming practices in Southwest Morocco. In coordination with the local population (individuals, households, communities) the study, creation and consolidation of projects with a view to improving management of local resources. Opening-up the region to intercultural exchange by encouraging and valuing indigenous languages, cultures, histories, arts and artisanal practices (including the eventual creation of a museum). Encounters and interactions with our foreign partners, visitors and volunteers that allow for mutual enrichment and understanding between people of differing languages, religions and nationalities, and ultimately allows cultures to converse. Academic programs and research focused on the South of Morocco, promoting South-South partnerships, academic and institutional relationships in order to broaden understanding of the region (library, seminar cycle, and field-school classes).

APPEL À EXPERT(E) – RESTAURATION ÉCOLOGIQUE

Dar Si Hmad recherche un(e) expert(e) en écologie et restauration écologique pour accompagner l’évaluation d’une partie du SIBE de Boutmezguida, dans le Sud-Ouest du Maroc, et contribuer à la conception d’un programme de restauration adapté au site.
La mission
L’expert(e) aura pour rôle de :
réaliser un diagnostic écologique de la zone : biodiversité, habitats, végétation, sols, état de dégradation et potentiel de régénération naturelle ;
identifier les priorités et potentialités de restauration ;
proposer, avec l’équipe de Dar Si Hmad, un programme de restauration écologique progressif et adapté au territoire ;
définir des recommandations pour le suivi de l’évolution du site.
Nous recherchons une personne capable de comprendre un écosystème avant d’intervenir, et de travailler à la fois sur le diagnostic, la stratégie de restauration et la transmission des connaissances à notre équipe.
Profil recherché
Formation et expérience en écologie, restauration écologique, botanique, conservation ou domaine connexe ;
Expérience de terrain dans les écosystèmes arides ou semi-arides, idéalement au Sud Ouest Marocain ;
Expérience en diagnostic écologique et/ou restauration de paysages ;
Capacité à travailler avec une équipe et à transmettre ses connaissances.

Throughout October, we’ll be exploring the stories, knowledge, and work behind seeds and grains — and their role in building more resilient and regenerative territories.
It all begins with a seed. 🌾

🌱 أكتوبر هو شهر البذور والحبوب.
هاد الشهر، غادي نسلّطو الضوء على واحد الحاجة صغيرة، ولكن فيها إمكانيات كبيرة: البذرة.
البذور كتحمل الذاكرة.
والحبوب كتحمل الحياة والغذاء.
وكيربطو بين التربة، التنوع البيولوجي، الغذاء، المعرفة والمجتمع.
طوال شهر أكتوبر، غادي نكتاشفو معاكم قصص ومعارف وخدمة مرتبطة بالبذور والحبوب، والدور ديالها فبناء أراضي أكثر صموداً وتجددًا.

Fondation Dar Si Hmad is looking for a Field Technician & Community Support to join the project “From the Roots of the Fog: Towards a Living and Sustainable Ecosystem” in Tabbetist.
📍 Location: SIBE Boutmezguida, Tabbetist & project intervention areas
🌱 Focus: Nurseries, plantations, pilot gardens, ecological restoration & community support.
🎓 Profile: Bac+2 to Bac+3 in agriculture, plant production, agroecology, environment or a related field.
🚗 Driving licence held for at least 2 years.
🗣️ Amazigh is strongly preferred.
