Partnering for Change - RAS x CSK 🌟

For years, Rabat American School (RAS) and the (CSK) have worked together to support a truly noble cause: helping children and young adults with limited abilities access the education, society, and opportunities they deserve. 🤝

In this video, the Director of CSK explains what this relationship means for the children. While CSK provides vital daily programs like physical therapy and life skills, our school welcomes them to our campus once a week to enjoy our swimming pool, fields, and occasional activities alongside our students. 🏊‍♂️ ⚽️

To help fund these essential programs, our entire school community recently came together for the 4th edition of our main fundraising event of the year, guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals: The Annual Walkathon. ☀️

To help raise as much financial support as possible for CSK, our students organized several events around the walk:

- The Lead-Up Fundraisers: Our Elementary School Student Council organized a Bake Sale 🧁 and the 5th Grade hosted a “Treats and Treasures” Sale 🧸 to jumpstart the fundraising.

- The Morning of the Walk: Secondary students and the NJHS put together fun, engaging activities 🎯 to get everyone energized and ready for the walk!

In alignment with these global goals, we were also honored to welcome Ms. Naseem Awl, Deputy Representative of UNICEF Morocco, who gave an eye-opening presentation to our community on the current status of the SDGs in Morocco. 🇲🇦📊

📣 A huge thank you to our ES STUCO, NJHS, Secondary students, teachers & staff and parents for their hard work coordinating the fundraisers, the morning activities, and the Walkathon itself. We are so grateful to the entire RAS community for their kindness and generosity in supporting CSK. 🧡

More highlights from the lead-up fundraisers and the final donation amount are coming soon - stay tuned! 💰 ✨

English as an Additional Language (EAL) 📚

At Rabat American School, our learners bring a rich diversity of languages, experiences, and perspectives to our community. 🌐

Our EAL programme is designed to ensure that every learner can access the curriculum, develop strong English proficiency, and grow in confidence. We value and leverage students’ home languages as an integral part of their identity and as a foundation for learning, empowering them to build on what they already know.

Through intentional collaboration, targeted support, and inclusive classroom practices, we cultivate a learning environment where all students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed. ✨

Cultures’ Day 🌍🎉

Last Saturday, our campus was transformed into a vibrant global village, showcasing the incredible richness and diversity that defines our community. ✨ With 22 countries represented, we embarked on a true cultural journey together. From the delicious aromas of traditional global cuisines to the vibrant displays of heritage and history, it was a beautiful reminder of how much we can learn from one another. 🧡

This spectacular event wouldn’t have been possible without our phenomenal Parent Teacher Association (PTA). We are so grateful for your tireless dedication; your organization turned a grand vision into a seamless, world-class reality! 🙌
We also want to send a huge shout-out to our volunteers - the parents, students, and staff who gave so generously of their time. This celebration wouldn’t have been the same without you. Your hard work behind the scenes allowed our community to truly shine. 🤝

At RAS, we don’t just teach global citizenship; we live it. Seeing our families share their stories and traditions reminds us that while we come from many different places, we grow together as one. 🎊

A Story of Transformation ✨

Being part of the Rabat American School community is about more than just academics - it’s about finding a true home for your child’s potential. 🏠

We recently sat down with one of our amazing parents to hear her family’s story. From the first days of school to the pride of graduation, her journey as a mother of two RAS students is a powerful testament to what happens when a child is truly supported. 🌱

In this video, she opens up about:

🎓 The Graduation Milestone: Reflections on her son’s journey.

💪 Turning Challenges into Triumphs: How RAS provided the specific support her daughter needed to navigate dyslexia and shatter the “blocks” in her way.

🧡 The Heart of RAS: The unique culture that makes us a community - something you won’t find on a brochure, but you’ll feel the moment you walk on campus.

Curious about the long-term value of an RAS education? Hear it directly from a parent who has lived it. 🎥
