A Journey into Amazigh Culture with Our Students ✨ⵣ
Last week, our students celebrated the Amazigh New Year (Yennayer) through immersive and hands-on cultural experiences 🌿

- Exploring Amazigh Arts at the Jewelry Museum
A visit to the Jewelry Museum (متحف الحلي) allowed our students to learn about Amazigh craftsmanship, symbolism, and traditional jewelry.

- Celebrating Yennayer with Host Families
The celebration continued at home, where one of our students joined her host family to celebrate Yennayer together, wearing beautiful Amazigh attire, and experiencing the warmth of family life at the heart of this special occasion. 💚ⵣ

- Cooking Baddaz, the Traditional Amazigh Dish
Our students explored Amazigh culinary traditions by preparing Baddaz, experiencing culture through hands-on cooking.

- Learning Tifinagh at the Amazigh Institute
Our students discovered the Amazigh language and practiced writing in Tifinagh.

In the Culture Through Cuisine project, our students demonstrate Chinese steamed eggs, a healthy winter recipe rich in protein and essential nutrients. Their goal: to raise awareness about healthy nutrition, strengthen immunity, and provide practical tips for families during the cold season. 🥚🤝

Our desert trips are packed with adventure: ride camels, surf the sand, dance to Gnawa rhythms, spend the night in a campsite in the heart of the desert, and explore the historic Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum 🏜️🐪

As part of their cultural projects, our students created an inspiring video sharing their journey learning Arabic as non-native speakers. This session focused on the challenges of practicing Arabic in the bustling Moroccan souks.
Along the way, they picked up clever ways to communicate and shared useful tips for future students learning Arabic in Morocco. Since the souk is a busy, noisy, and vibrant place, it provides the perfect environment to practice Arabic in real-life situations while navigating everyday interactions.

Our students experienced a unique journey across the Bouregreg River, traveling between Salé and Rabat in the same traditional wooden boats that generations have used for centuries. 🚣‍♂️✨

These boats are more than just a way to cross the river; they are a living piece of history. For years, people relied on them to move between the two cities, long before modern bridges connected the shores. Crossing the Bouregreg this way offers a glimpse into the region’s cultural heritage and the deep bond that ties the historic city of Salé with the iconic capital, Rabat.

Moments like this allow our students to connect with Morocco’s traditions, discover its stories, and live the culture firsthand 🌍
