Join us in wishing a warm welcome to our new Fulbright Student Researcher Hamza Woodson! His research in Morocco will focus on developing participatory digital heritage and reconstruction systems with Amazigh communities in the High Atlas Mountains following the 2023 earthquake, integrating AI-assisted architectural modeling, oral histories, and Indigenous governance frameworks into community-controlled planning tools. He will be affiliated with Cadi Ayyad University and UM6P, in Marrakech and Ben Guerir.

Join us in wishing a warm welcome to our new Fulbright Student Researcher Isabel Bonhomme! She will be working with Amazigh women to better understand how their knowledge traditions surrounding saffron operate amid shifting conditions. She will be affiliated with Cadi Ayyad University, in Marrakech.

Congratulations to Houda Samad on her Fulbright Study Grant. She will be pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the University at Buffalo in New York.

Meet Oussama Errahali, one of our Joint-Supervision grantees from UM6P. He specializes in Materials Science and will be conducting research at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Meet Chaimae Elfathi, one of our Joint-Supervision grantees from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fes. She specializes in AI and Intelligent-Agent Solutions for Logistics Process Automation and will be conducting research at the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine.

The MACECE team had the pleasure of meeting with alumni from different cohorts in Casablanca for a casual coffee and catch-up. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with longtime alumni and welcome some of our recent returnees back to Morocco.

Meet Zakia Boudar, one of our Joint-Supervision grantees from the Mohammed VI University of Sciences and Health (UM6SS) in Casablanca. She specializes in Biomedical Sciences and will be conducting research at the University of Chicago, in Illinois.

Congratulations to Ayoub Oulhaj on his Fulbright Study Grant. He will be pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Duke University, in North Carolina.

Join us in wishing a warm welcome to our new Fulbright Student Researcher Lauren Ehrmann! She will be will be conducting research on the role of the calligrapher-sultan in the late medieval Maghrib, with the Centre Jacques Berque in Rabat.
