If a LIZARD can, why can't we?

This is a true story that happened in Japan .

In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan breaks open the wall.

Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls..

When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there
because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet.

It was a cold December day. I still remember it as it were just a while ago. I was a little boy. I woke up a bit late and hurried to school with my big school bag on my back. I didn't have even the chance to to take a sip of the tea that my mum made for me. The mint was teasing and emanating from the kitchen. Once at the school gate I saw my classmates shaking hands which felt cold and shaky. I was proud of myself telling them my exploitations during the weekend and how many matches I won until my best friend came up with a question: " have you done the homework?". That was the last thing I could think of. How could such thing slip my mind. In a whirlpool of their laughter I was lost. I couldn't think properly. I knew what was waiting for me. I grabbed the school door despite its smell as it was newly painted. Once in class, all my friends started jumping and chatting except me. I was trying to make up a lie to escape the punishment. Hard as I tried, I couldn't make it. Then a complete silence dominated. I knew he was there. He was a teacher if not a monster-like person. My legs started trembling. My hands were shivering. I was a dead boy....
