Moroccan academic Younes Nafid was awarded the Prize for Excellence in E-Learning by the Arab Naif University for Security Sciences in Riyadh on Thursday. The award recognizes outstanding achievements in academic research, teaching, and online learning innovation.
Nafid, a professor in the Department of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Criminology in Riyadh, also serves as advisor for scientific research and innovation at the same university. His contributions include numerous specialized books, studies, and the supervision of theses and doctoral research.
Originally from Morocco, Nafid holds a PhD in criminal law and criminology from Mohammed Premier University in Oujda. Before his tenure in Saudi Arabia, he taught at Cadi Ayyad University and Chouaib Doukkali University.
The award underscores his ongoing commitment to advancing legal education and research in both in-person and digital formats, cementing his role as a prominent figure in the Arab academic community.

It's the end that counts!
A pedagogic and instructive lesson!
اليوم لفت انتباهي، وأنا أدرس، تلميذ يقوم بفتح علبة شوكولاطة في الخفاء بالعرض البطيء .. و حين أحس أن أحدهم يراقبه أخفى العلبة بين فخذيه .. التفت متوجسا في جميع الاتجاهات وخاصة نحوي وتظاهر بأنه يكتب الدرس.. و حين التقت عيناه بعيني ابتسمت له ورفعت حاجباي وأنا أُتمتم بصوت أقرب إلى الهمس قائلا له: " بصحتك" .. فيما ضحك هو وأحس بالخجل واحمرت وجنتاه ثم وضع يده على وجهه وأنزل رأسه كنوع من الاعتذار لأن من شروط الصف عدم الأكل "وهو يعلم هذا " ..
و رغم أن القسم فيه قرابة ال 35 تلميذا محشورين كأنهم في علبة سردين، لكنهم لم ينتبهوا للحوار القصير الذي دار بيننا، و لا حتى للتلميذ الذي تشبثت شفتاه بحبة شوكولا بقوة كما يتشبث غريق في عرض البحر بقشه ..
توقفت عن الكتابة ونهضت متجها إليه " وقبل أن أصل بدت عليه ملامح الارتباك ولكنها زالت بعد ابتسامتي له ..
ربّتُ على كتفه في لطف قائلا " ماشربتيش قهوة ؟؟
ليرد علي قائلا : " مريض بالسكر أستاذ حسيت هبطلي جبدت ناكل "
دعوت له بالشفاء وشكرتُ نفسي لأنني لم أستعجل ولم أبدا في الصراخ عليه بل أخذت الموقف باللطف واللين ..
موقف كهذا جعلني أعيد حساباتي وتصرفاتي مع التلاميذ ولا أتسرع في الحكم ....
اللهم اشف كل مريض
