The theme of this year's World Space Week is Exploring Mars, Discovering Earth. The World Space Week is an international celebration of science and technology. It has been declared by United Nation General Assembly in 1999 to take place every year during the 4-10 October. This year, as well, Morocco is participating in this feast and the Astronomy Club is taking charge of its celebration in Ifrane, Immouzer and Hajjeb under the theme "Exploring Mars, Discovering Earth". To celebrate the WSW, countries and especially cities do some activities to promote and encourage the astronomy field. For instance, presentations, talks, workshops, projections, and awareness campaign about astronomy. This year the astronomy club is organizing the World Space Week with collaboration of the Austrian Space Forum in Innsbruck- Oewf. Also, the astronomy club members, this year, will have the chance to be the representatives of Morocco for the launching of the World Space week world wide. We will be connected to international big organisations, and broadcast it online and to national media. Thus, participating in the organization of the world space week is not only an organization learning experience but also, an international recognized work that would help you get an amazing job within an international space association. Recently, one of our members, has been in an internship with the Austrian Space forum thanks to her involvement with the Astronomy club. This is a chance for you, as well, to be part of the World Space week organization and to work with international organizations; namely, Oewf, World Space Week Association, KiwiSpace Foundation, etc. If you are interest please send us your request to our email address and you are kindly invited to attend the weekly meeting on Monday at 7:30Pm in SAO room 1. Please note that the DEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOU APPLICATION IS SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 22, 2013 AT 11:59 PM.
