Fostex & Techtex Projects

On November 26–27, Techtex partners meet in Terrassa to review the progress of the project and plan the next steps — with a special focus on preparing the local replication of the training program in Moroccan VET schools.

Teachers who took part in the capacity-building session in Izmir last July will now bring that experience back home, delivering the training to their students and creating a real impact at the local level. 🙌📘

And of course, the partners didn’t miss the chance to enjoy a cultural visit! On November 27, our hosts AEI Textiles guided us through the stunning Monastery of Montserrat, an inspiring way to conclude our meeting. ⛰️✨

On November 12th GIAC, the Textile & Leather Consulting association, based in Casablanca, Morocco, organized two seminars:

The first., in partnership with ANAPEC (National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills), was dedicated to the launch of the “Insertion Contract – Non-graduate Profiles” program;

The second, was focused on the theme of “Circular Economy & Human Resources.”

Both events brought together numerous executives and HR managers from the textile and apparel sector, a perfect opportunity to present and disseminate
the TECHTEX project!

🌍 This week, Techtex project partners are in Izmir, hosted by EGE University, for the train the trainer initiative!

🎓 Trainers from Moroccan partner institutions are receiving an intensive training on:

✅ How to use the Techtex digital platform

✅ The flipped classroom methodology

✅ The contents developed to modernise the Moroccan VET curriculum in technical textiles

The program combines presentations and hands-on sessions on the platform and training modules, as well as study visits to:

🔍 The production and quality control laboratories of the Department of Textile Engineering

🏭 A local technical textiles company in the Izmir industrial area, to connect training with real industry practices

🚀 Last week, partners of the Techtex Project gathered in Athens for a productive transnational meeting!

Together, we planned the upcoming "train the trainer" initiative, where trainers from our Moroccan partner institutions will be trained to use innovative training materials and the dedicated digital platform just developed, applying the flipped classroom methodology. This will contribute to modernise and enrich the Moroccan VET curriculum in the field of technical textiles.
