On the way to Tamri or Imesouane, we sometimes stop to buy fresh mussels from the local women who sell them along the road.
These small stands belong to women from nearby villages. Every morning at sunrise, they go down to the rocks to collect mussels, depending on the tides and sea conditions. They don’t work every day, only when nature allows it.
Here, you can find both fresh mussels and dried mussels, perfect as a traditional snack.
This place is more than just a stop on the road. It’s a way of life.
By buying from them, you support local families and help keep this beautiful tradition alive.
When you travel in Morocco, don’t just pass by
Stop, connect, and support the local women who work with the ocean every day. 🌊🤍
